Nebraska game

Pretty damn conservative playcalling in this 3rd qtr. Run, run, pass, punt. Lot of time left.

Exactly! They do that every 2nd half "lets whale on people first half then play pussy ball 2nd half" Some horrible critical calls by the refs also, really annoying..

I'm over the 4th quarter debacle. That was a great win and we looked like one of the top teams in the country for 3 quarters against a very good Nebraska team who had won 13 of 14 games including a win over Georgia in a Bowl.

Still leaves some doubt in my head about the team, but the upside is very very high. If this team continues to improve we can be as good as any team in the country by year's end. Saw a huge leap forward by the defense, huge! The LBers especially too a big leap.

I was at a wedding and only saw bit and pieces but n just happy we won and limited a guy who runs for 200 per game to 40 yards.

Fuck it, 4-1 with possibly out toughest conference game down.

It was a good game for you to miss, the last quarter was worse due to some super fluke plays and horrible missed critical calls by the refs. If you never saw the game it doesnt seem that bad. Grateful for the win, im just assuming these 2nd halves where they ease up and try to escape are going to stop. They did throw to Kings a few times tonight that was positive. Need him on 1 side and TL on the other, Kings just needs more pass attempts...

Not sure why we closed the playbook in the 2nd half and just ran. We aren't the type of team that can just power run and sustain drives. Our line isn't strong enough.

Also, Sadler had a couple nice pooch punts inside the 5, but wasn't very good kicking out of his own side of the field. He's supposed to be a huge asset, but wasn't able to flip the field position in our favor much.

Didn't watch the game. What happened on this play? Did the kid pass out? I assume he's ok?

He was trying not to get called for a false start and he lost his balance so he just slowly fell backwards. It was hilarious!! Try to find the video somewhere.

My thought was he was thinking the ball would be snapped and he was going to be "the distraction". The making of a bad trick play ill-timed is my call otherwise he would try to brace himself when he started to fall not at the end. Someone did a similar play last week in an NCAA game.

I was at a wedding too and missed all of the first half and most of 4th quarter. bride and groom both MSU grads too, oh well.

This game is a little better than people would think, we held them to 51 yards rushing when abdullah was close to 200 per game himself. we took away their strength and made them one dimensional, they tried to beat us by passing. we gave up a special teams touchdown and a big play on a deflection but I am more confident in our defense than I was earlier in the year

actually Nebraska was averaging 355 on the ground, we held them to 51

Also how great has Nicholson been? Very impressed with him. He's going to be a super star at that safety position.

my god, Pelini is a sore loser. he complained about some false starts and motion penalites because a few MSU players clapped on defense and that threw them off. He said we were intentionally trying to throw them off and he would talk to the league office about it.

I just don't think he can handle a loss without some kind of complaint. Last year he said that MSU didn't beat Nebraska, that they were gaining yards on us and beat themselves. Yes they did turn it over but we didn't and we moved the ball all game long, the score shouldn't have even been that close but they put up a late touchdown with about a minute left to salvage a respectable score. I wish we could beat these guys every year

Taiwan jones was interviewed yesterday and he was singing "if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands." There's a rumor we might hire Tom Crean as our clapping coach
