If we get two BCS invites then I could see us with one or two wins (again). If we only get one BCS bowl this year then we might see some favorable matchups. For instance, Wisconsin is probably the best team in the Big Ten but has only a slight chance of winning the conference. Who - Iowa, Northwestern, or Illinois? All could lose to a top MAC team.

So maybe the B1G isn't really that bad; maybe it's just balanced.
I guess we'll see in the post season.
