Nebraska looks beatable

TinselWolverine[/color]]On the brighter side - B1G teams are losing to each other; or more specifically supposedly "upper tier" teams are losing to "lower tier" teams.

So maybe the B1G isn't really that bad; maybe it's just balanced.

I guess we'll see in the post season.

We might or we might not. It will all depend on the match-ups. Its been a while since the big10 has gotten favorable bowl match-ups, especially with getting 2 teams in the BCS. If the B1G cared about winning, they'd turn down that other BCS bid. Instead, its all about the payout.

Yeah, I was thinking when I posted that matchups have a lot to do with it, but I was kind of lazy to expand on it.

Rule of thumb - if a person's conference does well in the bowl season, it's because they're good.

If a person's conference does poorly, it was all about the matchups.

Well, I personally think its always about match-ups. The gurus are always trying to tell who is good or who is bad based on the bowl games. I don't think they're always a good indicator. I think Bo would've agreed. The bowls, for the most part, are just fun exhibitions, a reward to the players for playing well during the season...of course, now a team doesn't even have to play well, just well enough to eke out 6 wins. The bowl system is kind of dumb, but I watch, because i still love college football and I join bowl pools.

I think its a little bull shit how big ten teams always have to play the sec, down south. Bring dem southern boys up here in the cold and see how Tsec does.

People say they get a week to adjust to the weather. My uncle moved up here from florida, months later after moving it was 60 degrees out. And he's wearing a tobogan.

Plus its pretty much home field to them.

Nebraska is an okay Big12 team that got its ass handed to them by Washington in the bowl but got all kinds of credit for its defense, based moreso on Suh and THAT team, as opposed to their actual 2011 team. I knew coming into the BigTen that Nebraska would be in for a surprise.

They're an 'average' BigTen team which means they're as good as about 6 other teams, including Michigan, Sparty, Iowa, Ohio*, Wisconsin .....
