This is what I was alluding to in the other thread. If the Pistons want to be taken seriously, they can't start to fizzle. Need to take the next two in my opinion.

Honestly still torn, because i'd rather have them lose every game the rest of the way and get a good pick, then just barely crawl into the playoffs under .500 and get blown out of the first round. We lived through that crap enough already under Joe D, and it's why it's taking so long to rebuild. Hard to get blue chip players that way.

The game was lost in the 2nd quarter, they didn't put forth any energy on defense. Like I said before, you can't keep getting behind big and expect to win games. Drummond had probably his worst game as a pro, I still don't think he should be playing.

I guess I am torn...It's way to late to tank... I would love for them to make the playoffs but I agree we probably get blasted...

So am I...but we have to face facts at this point. Are they a championship contender as they stand? Nope, at least not in my opinion. Yeah they can maybe finish around 40-42 and make the 7th or 8th seed...but that doesn't do much to move the needle for me. If it's a choice between that and getting a high draft pick, i'll take the pick.

Yeah they can maybe finish around 40-42 and make the 7th or 8th seed...but that doesn't do much to move the needle for me. If it's a choice between that and getting a high draft pick, i'll take the pick.

But don't we have a lot of room under the cap to try and bolster the whole roster and our depth? It seem like we are never going to get lucky in the lottery .. We just have to find some sleepers and sign free agents well..

lets be clear. Like X has brought up AD is battling a illness I the last week... But SVG really threw him under the bus in his post game rant.. But still he was abused by Davis last night...

I didn't see the first half, but watched a lot of the second half. Drummond was mysteriously absent for most of it, but if he's sick, that makes sense. I actually thought that we looked pretty solid in the secod half. Considering we were down by like 25pts when I turned the game on, it was a decent showing to narrow that to an 11pt loss. At least they had some life and didn't quit late.

The lineups were working late, so it shouldn't be a huge deal to mix things up a bit and get a little earlier start. No different than what Babcock does with the Wings. I would have used a Leyland/Ausmus comparison there, but those two seem dead set on each person having a defined role and the subs plugging right into that. That's why we'd sometimes see DKB leading off or hitting clean up. LOL!
