Next GM and Head Coach

Just saying pretty much everybody here wanted Saleh (I also liked him), and he is known as a defensive guru, but he decided he doesn't wanna call his own plays on defense and focus on the entire team.

Really happy Campbell got 6 years

It will avoid a bad looking extension

Remember Schwartz had 4 years, 2012 was a lame duck year for him so they extended him after making playoffs in 2011. Then they had to keep him in 2013 after 4-12.

No stupid extensions at least and can still dump him after 3 or 4 years. Scwhartz got 5, Caldwell 4, Patricia 2.5 only

That's usually the way it goes. And especially as a first time HC.

Dan Campbell: Lions roster isn’t as far away as some may think.

Uh oh.

He basically come out and said the defense was awful in 3 different ways. And both him and the GM are non comital every single time they are asked about Stafford. We cant even get a simple "we want Stafford to be our qb" instead we get "hes great BUT he wants to be a winner."

No defense and no QB is the opposite of having building blocks.

Weren't you the one that said they need 10-13 new starters?

Whoever said that the "building blocks" are in place is a moron.

You can have building blocks and need 10-13 new starters. 53 on the roster there bud. 33% turnover on most teams every year anyway with contracts expiring, cap cuts, performance that doesn't meet the contract backloaded years, bad performances etc

If they chose to trade away a building block HOF QB. That's a mistake

I love Stafford and would only trade him for the right pieces. But wouldn?t necessarily consider him a building block at this point in his career. He?s a couple years away from being in his twilight.

He has 5 years at least. Eternity for nfl. Semantics on how many years for building block

Someoje giving two 1sts and 2nd you start considering

I agree that we shouldn?t take anything less than two 1st and something for Stafford. But if we get offered two first and a 2nd, you don?t waste time ?considering?, you do it immediately!

I still think it's 5% he gets traded but this is the perfect year to do it with so many teams in need of a QB.

Btw, no one will ever offer two 1st's and a 2nd. Football people always say the right things but they're not that high on Stafford.

Anthony Lynn OC. Glenn DC. Great job Lions

Both chose lions over other jobs because of Campbell

Good staff forming

I think we could get and shouldn?t settle for anything less than two first and additional picks. If no one wants to pony up to demands, we keep him. Stafford could help a contending team like the Saints, Colts, 49ers or Rams.

Lol how could you possibly know or think that. Its your own bias creeping in
