NFL investigating Patriots' footballs

This is such a non story but that Brady press conference was awesome. It will provide material for years for comedic purposes. The amount of silly references to balls was just over the top, it somewhat reads like an SNL skit.

Anyway, the Super Bowl L will be long passed finished before any findings of any investigation will be revealed.

I heard something the other day, only 3 times did the SB winner have the worst defense. So I suspect Seattle will win.

I am a little surprised how much press this has gotten, personally I'm still more begrudged over the bad calls and over turns that have occurred in previous recent weeks.. all in all I'm glad more people are questioning the integratity of the game becuase I believe it all needs to be questioned and fixers weeded out.

you haven't figured it out yet? The refs were the ones who let the air out of the ball to ensure the Pats made the SB.

Come on man...put your tinfoil hat back on!

Oh I've figured it out alright! It's like this commentary here says

For one thing, NFL rules are so messy nowadays that referees can make bad calls with plausible deniability. boy we sure saw a lot of that in the first two rounds eh? Lol

“It’s all about money; that’s what the leagues put the games on for,” gambling expert Brian Tuohy said. “They put them on just for their own profit and for the television networks and statistically it’s shown the networks are surviving because of the NFL and of course the advertisers are profiting off of these leagues as well.”

“There’s a lot of entities involved in this and I cannot believe a business like the NFL would leave itself up for pure chance.”

He also pointed out it’s not illegal for a league to fix its own games.

“There’s no law that prevents this,” he said. “Your ticket promises you entry to see a game… it doesn’t mean certain rules have to be followed, it doesn’t mean certain players have to play, it doesn’t mean a team cannot cheat.”

The Patriots could have beaten the Colts without deflated footballs, but they may not have covered the gambling spread.

whoever wrote that is a complete idiot. So he thinks that the deflated balls helped the Pats cover? The line was around 7 and they won by 38. More idiot conspiracy nuts!

They are all saying Brady is absolutely full of shit that he didn't know about the footballs or couldn't tell any difference during the game....especially since during the press conference he said he likes the ball right at 12.5 psi.

12.5 is legal.

The person that wrote that was some guy named Kit Daniels.

In your opinion Kit Daniels is a complete idiot. Got it

I'm curious to see what the NFL ends up concluding from their "investigation" such as how long as this been going on and who is all involved.

"Conspiracy nuts"

Badge of honor Dalton, badge of honor!

Rodgers in public...stated he likes to over inflate them. That's ok cause hes on the packers. Brad Johnson admitted to bribing a ball boy $7500 to alter the suber bowl winning footballs. That's ok too.

Patriots have a -10% inflated ball for less than a half of football...world ends.

I think the problem is the history of cheating accusation has allowed it to turn into a bigger issue for them than it may be, this single instance I would agree is getting blown out proportion, this isn't just about a single instance anymore though.

or maybe it's all jut a big conspiracy theory and NFL and the Media out to get the patriots!. lol

But ya know what..here's my advice

Hey Brady..psssst..The cover up is always worse than the crime

Did the Colt's balls deflate at all? And it really doesn't matter if it didn't help them win. "I shot a guy but he's not dead what's the problem."

12.5 is legal.

I know it's legal. But the fact he mentioned he actually has an absolute preference as to how he likes the football...he said multiple times 12.5 is absolutely perfect...but then he can't identify when it's not at 12.5 seems shady. You know exactly how you like the football but then you can't identify when there are changes in the football???

I'm sure he's thinking of alot more during an afc champ game than "gee this ball feels % 10 less than it did anhour ago." That just further insinuates imo how much this doesnt matter. There were ppl this week that could tell a difference in 10% (brunell and bettis) and there were ppl that couldn't (joe theissman). Refs checked the ball prior to the game and they were approved....unless someone can show a video of a ball boy taking air out after that.....then none of the rest of this ridiculousness matters.

The other side of the argument is tom brady told the ball boys to take some air out....and my opinion on that is still....who cares.
