They made the defensive players do it. Why not the offensive players?
Those guys are never taught to lead with their head. Totally different.

Every defender is taught to square up and put their facemask in the guys chest. Hence leading with your head.
Where did you learn defense? From Gunther?
Face across the body, kiss the football. Ideal but rarely happens. Safety's have had to change their game from what they are taught since an early age, which is forcibly remove the ball from the receiver.
That's not lead with the head though. And the reason no one knows how to tackle anyone, guys try to strip the ball and get a good hit. Instead of actually making a tackle.
Edit: To explain further, head on football - good. But the head is kept up, not down (which is what the new rules prevent). That's different than a RB lowering their head..
31-1 vote. I wonder who voted no. Tuck rule was also a landslide 29-1.

If i was schwartz id never run the ball again. You know....kinda like last year.
Stupid rule. Going to be a lot of pissed off RBs this year.
This rule is applied to the defense as well.
Less RB and defensive players getting hurt I suspect. They should be hitting with their shoulder anyway.
Less players getting hurt? I dont buy it...
They should be hitting with their shoulders anyways? That may be true but its not reality.
I don't really care either way. I'm certainly not bummed about it.
