Ngata Resigned for 2 years

Anything over the 5-6 million range is a bad deal in my opinion. He was suppose to be a run stopper and he didn't seem like anything special. Overall average DT now, who's name is bigger than his productivity.

He is still a big space eater, not sure the value on that. First deal under Quinn I'm not liking. But again depends on the contract.

Gotta remember he was hurt for the majority of the season....

He was terrible in the first half, and had a pretty solid second half IMO.

I remember when we first traded for him, a few of my buddies down in Baltimore told me that he was still a solid player, however he had a tendency to be a slow starter, but would turn it up in the second half of the season/playoffs.

Seemed like this is exactly what happened last season...the mystery illness/pulled hammy? throughout Training camp didn't help either..

Right, but they seemed like a lot of nagging injuries that go along with being 330 pounds or whatever he is.

Perhaps the injuries are a result of not being on PEDs anymore. I know he claims it was adderall, but they always claim it is adderall. So you never know, since the NFL will never confirm or deny.

I'm fine with this. Ngata can eat a lot of space and create opportunities for Ansah to crush QBs. Get another solid DT and athletic DE, and we're in great shape on the DL.

Depends on the size of the contract. I'm pretty neutral on Ngata myself.

True. His injuries lingered for too long but he played better at the end of the year. Telling us that he seems to be at full strength going forward. Always nice to have that veteran that teammates look up to and Ngata is a leader and a winner.

The Lions officially announced the re-signing of Haloti Ngata. FOX Sports reported the two-year deal as worth $12 million with $6 million guaranteed.

Not too bad

$6Mm per year and $12Mm overall for two years? I like that. That is exactly the range I thought he should be brought back for.

Well done Mr. Quinn.

Can't complain about that deal unless he falls off a cliff. Basic starter cash.

Great Deal...A lot of young guys on the dline. Even if his play is down....a veteran presence like him is worth 6 mil per. I think he outplays that contract easily.
