Ngata Resigned for 2 years

I like this signing, he was hurt and learning a new system, but was dominant at times the 2nd half of the season. We aren't going to find a better option at DT. Not going to be a pro bowler, but could be just below that level.

So you figure Ngata, Reid, and Walker and now Charles will get the bulk of the time. Does not look good for Gabe Wright to get much time. Sucks to have wasted a 3rd rounder in the 2016 draft before it even took place.

I think they are going to have a heavy rotation regardless. I could see a high draft pick at DT too. Wright could still emerge from that rotation with some time, none of those players including Ngata at this stage seem locked into the bulk of the snaps. Walker for me is the front runner for the most PT, he got unlucky last year.

Looks like Ngata cap hits are:

2016: 4.2 million
2017: 7.8 million

However in 2017 only 2 million is dead money, so If he gets injured or plays poorly we can cut him for a 5.8 million savings.

He played well at the end last year. Good sign

I wouldn't necessarily put Charles ahead of Wright. And Walker is a question mark as well. Could make for a nice TC battle.....
