No Detroit Lions make Pro Bowl, but four land as alternates.

1st 7 Games:
164/241 68.0% 15 TDs 4 INTs, 118.8 Rating

Last 7 Games:
172/266 64.6% 7 TDs 4 INTs, 86.8 Rating

1st 7 games makes you pro bowler/MVP candidate, the past 7 does not.

The comeback stat is dumb. This has nothing to do about Matt but if a QB has 58 minutes of bad football but get his team into FG in the last moments to win the game, whoop-de-do. Glad the team won but the stat is shit.

It's like the Hold in baseball.

Stafford never had 58 minutes of bad football though. He played well. Run game, weapons and Oline and play calling let him down at various times. He overcame that many times plus defense kept us in the game as they should with all the talent they have.

Maybe you misread "This has nothing to do about Matt." I was making a general statement. Imo, the stat is dumb.

Giants and Vikings twice. Good top 6 defenses. Vikings were better until they lost Smith recently. Texans are 12th in PPG too. Texans only allow 17.5 PPG at home which is where the game was. 4 of 7 are just plain old good defenses he faced.

Bears, Jags, Saints. Average to bad defense. 3 Lions wins. Though Stafford could have played better against Jags and Bears. Bears he has injury excuse and Bears have average D. 26 points with great 4th Qtr by Stafford against Jags (though 7 was punt return). And 28 scored on Saints in Dome.

Cowboys is a good defense, Packers bad. We'll see what happens in the final 2 for his final QB rating. Then playoff time.

He's going to have to light the Cowboys and tge Packers up to beat them, I'm not sure if he's that guy anymore. Honestly, I hope we go pass happy for the last 2 games. 45-50 attempts each game. Zero balance, unless we've got the game at hand and are killing clock. There's just no point of trying to balance the attack at this point. This is what got the Packers offense surging, and I think we should follow suit. If the run game improves because of this, so be it. Air it out

Dallas gives up 3.9 YPC and Green Bay 4.0 YPC rushing. Detroit can run the ball, especially if Riddick comes back. and Detroit for sure can pass on Packers and Cowboys. Packers 22nd allowing 94.4 rating and Cowboys 27th allowing a 96.7 rating. Avoiding turnovers is key. We had 2 against Giants. Need to clean that up.

Detroit needs to have long drives like they have had all year. Most time per drive and most plays per drive. Limit possessions to beat the Cowboys and Packers. And at least stop the run enough so it's not super easy for Dak and Rodgers.

Also Cowboys may sit people if Giants lose on Thursday.

If the Giants lose, is Dallas guaranteed the #1 seed?

Pro Bowl is a joke

It is a joke...just like MLB and the other sports. Putting voting in the fan's hands is always going to make it a popularity contest and more BS with ballot stuffing, along with certain major market teams.
but still it would be nice for Lions' players to gain more national recognition.
It is about winning and becoming a winning franchise, more national exposure, and the mouths on all the major tv stations getting involved once they get to be a yearly contender.

Matthew Stafford on Pro Bowl snub: 'I don't really care, to tell you the truth'.

Well, unfortunate for him the season is 16 games.

Nothing unfortunate about it, pipe. Every week it's been a different player frontrunning for MVP. Look at Carr. He was the bonafide winner a few weeks ago but has had some mediocre games lately. Nobody is perfect week to week unless you're Tom Brady.

Nothing dumb about it. It wasn't dumb when Peyton Manning had the record. But now its dumb because the Lions and Matt Stafford are the new leaders? It's laughable how disrespected this team gets...lol

Aww poor Tony, everyone needs to love my team. Get over it dude.

It is an odd stat. because the stay requires you to be behind in the 4th Quarter. That's not a good thing.

A 9-5 team with 8 come back wins isn't automatically better than a 9-5 team with 1. Leading all game is more impressive than coming back and winning on the last drive.

I get its exciting to the casual fan, because you can feel all good about coming back and winning. So enjoy it, but it doesn't mean much.

Get over what, retard? Stfu lol. All i said was that its laughable how disrespected this team gets. But when P. Manning leads the NFL in comeback wins, it's the greatest thing known to man. Don't deny it either. Nobody and i mean nobody made this claim with Manning.

And there's nothing odd about it. It's a real thing. Stafford has said that in a perfect world he would love to be up by 20 but he thrives on the challenge. That's what you want to hear from your QB. But the moronic fanbase of this team just loves to shit on anything that is somewhat positive. So fucking what that they're down in the 4th quarter?? EIGHT comeback wins.....record.......ours.......Lions.......Stafford. Live with it!

And who said anything about the Lions being better than a team with the same r?cord because of the comeback wins? Wtf you talking about?

And of course being 9-5 doesn't mean much to you? Why does it matter? Even if the Lions won all those games by 3 scores, retards like you would find something to bitch about lol. 9-5!!!! Man, it must suck ?!

Oh Tony. Show me anyone here that was impressed with Mannings comeback wins.

Of course nowhere did I say 9-5 doesn't matter. But that doesn't matter to you because you just want to rant.

Everyone has seemed to praise Stafford this year.
Saying he isn't a pro bowl (top 3 NFC QB) isn't an insult. It's a tough case to make he is a top 3 QB.

Them winning is the most important thing. I haven't seen anyone disagree with that. But you saying who cares about being down in the 4th invalidates your argument that comeback wins are impressive. The fact that it doesnt matter they are down means it doesn't make it impressive they comeback, because being down is no big deal.

Although this argument isn't quite as idiotic as the talk about how the most comebacks from being down 21+ was impressive.

Never said anyone on here was impressed. "In general". Key words. People "in general" were not calling Manning's wins dumb or odd and you know it.

Again...never said doesn't matter. I said means much and that's EXACTLY wtf you said lol.

Again!! I don"t give a flying fuck about him getting hosed on the Pro Bowl. He didn't deserve Pro Bowl honors anyways. Pro Bowl is about the numbers anyways and its the biggest joke of a game anyways. So ya.

Actually, it doesn't invalidate my argument. You haters love putting the spin on the comeback wins. You love blaming Stafford for disappearing for 3 and a half quarters and blaming him and him alone for not scoring points. Then when he sustains a game winning drive its guys like you that stutter and stammer and put that negative spin on it. Its quite entertaining though lol. When i say "so what if they're down", it doesn't mean its less impressive when they win. So again, you're fkn confused on what i mean....

Pretty sure everybody is in agreement that Cooter and Caldwell's lame asses are to blame for 3 3/4 quarters of pretending our qb is a no talent pussy.

It was dumb when he had it too. Why would we call him on it, he's not our QB. But the stat by itself is dumb. Disrespected? Maybe when they win a playoff game it will be more respected. I think over 40 years of loyalty is enough for me to want more.

Many are saying Stafford got snubbed from the pro bowl. He is at least in the conversation of deserving it. That is a good season being in the pro bowl conversation. He is having a good season because he is a good player.

Any struggle by the offense is rarely Stafford, especially this year. It's run game problems (some blocking, some backs, some injuries), drops, weapon separation(at Bears, at Giants/at Texans games especially) or protection issues.

Stafford is a very good player. He has been since 2011.

But nobody said it was dumb. ESPN or CBS never came out with articles trying to explain why its dumb lol.
