Looking good now after a slow start. NE is a decent team, made the tourney last year and almost beat notre dame. The won at #15 Miami this year but also lost to wmu

Get StartedI'll be there, scored some great seats. When we're able to run we devastate teams. Heading down for the game in Tuesday night.
Big concern I see with this team is the rotation, we're playing 12 and sometimes 13 guys. That's a good thing sometimes but you want to have guys engaged in the flow of the game. Fatigue stops being much of a factor when you play 9 or so guys, then depth may have a point of diminishing returns. There isn't enough of a separation talent outside of Forbes and Denzel.
I agree. And that is even more of an issue now with Schilling back. I can see maybe playing 10, but not 12 unless there are injuries, foul trouble, or maybe situationally where one of the guys can come in and provide a lift (like Goins vs Louisville). The trick will be figuring out which 10.
There's a positive with the energy they can bring and it makes foul trouble less of a problem. The negative is they you don't developed nearly the cohesion and chemistry when you're playing so many guys. If you look at the 4 spot we play bess, clark, goins, and davis, even Wolenman sometimes. You'd like to see one of those guys emerge as a 22 to 25 minute player.I agree. And that is even more of an issue now with Schilling back. Ohio State just beat Kentucky by 7.
I think this was the plan all along, he wasn't ready for 20 minutes but the injuries to clark and schilling forced him into action. He car run the floor, finish, and block shots but he has some work to do on ball screens and help defense.Davis only getting 10 mins worries me. We were also outrebounded for the first time this year.

Purdue lost to Butler. Iowa State is losing to Northern Iowa.
This iowa game coming up is a big one. Its a small venue but never an easy one for us at carver. Im a bit nervous. I dont want to overlook oakland but that Iowa game is looming as a tricky one.

You'd have to think that Costello and schilling will tag team like they did last year, I haven't seen them play together for more than a minute or two in their careers. I also like the offense when McQuaid and valentine operate as co point guards. If it were my call......Bess and Clark would almost never see the floor.....and I like Goins game better than Schilling's.
My rotation...
PG - Narin 28-30 minutes - McQuaid 10-12
SG - Forbes 20-25 - Harris 15-20
SF - Valentine 32-34 - Clark 6-8
PF - Costello 25-28 - Goins 12-15
C - Schilling 15-20 - Davis 10-15 - Goins 5-10
That's 10 guys.....with Clark getting very limited minutes. Essentially 9. I do not like Bess.....I don't think he brings anything to the table.
