Northeastern

Davis should be starting. I don't care if it's at the 4 or 5, just purely based on talent he's the best that we have.

I don't know. When he first went in yesterday I saw him fail to block out on 2 or 3 occasions and let Northeastern get offensive rebounds. Not sure if that's why he ultimately only played 10 minutes, but certainly if you're going to draw the ire of Izzo, that is one really good way. Rebounding seemed to be an issue overall yesterday. Giving up 16 offensive rebounds to them isn't good, despite the final score.

spot on. I think DAvis should start regardless but not blocking out wont get him there no matter how talented he is. You must have played organized basketball also. Blocking out is something most dont see but coaches will pull you in a second for not blocking out.

I saw him miss can lock outs too, but Davis has been great blocking out this season. I'm sure he learned a lesson. Rotation should be interesting going forward.

Talent is one thing, the ability to play team basketball is another. His highlight tape would look great but he needs to master ball screen defense communication, and blocking out.

I think all of the bigs could stand to be better. Costello also after a couple of good games early has been pretty meh overall, and at times pretty bad. I saw Izzo even quoted today as saying that one big thing about adding Schilling back to the mix is that it'll force both Costello and Davis to be better or risk losing minutes.
