Wait for Cespedes to become a free agent, sign him, then make a trade for Chase Headley/Martin Prado/Daniel Murphy. Possibly sign Beltran and Edwin Jackson

Get Startedthis. beltran is better offensively at this point and has always been better defensively. i would actually be happy if we picked him up later this offseason as long as it didnt cost too much.mjsb2 said:I'd rather the Tigers take a chance on Carlos Beltran than Manny Ramirez.
Don't really see either happening though.
I thought the Giants were bringing him back. That's really surprising. I thought I heard a few months ago that San Fran was almost certainly bringing him back, and hadn't thought much of it since then because nobody was mentioning his name during the winter meetings either. Beltran would be an excellent addition for us.mjsb2 said:No, the Giants haven't brought him back, at least not yet.
There aren't really many rumors around about him, other than that no teams have really shown interest in him yet.

Beltran with SF

That is awful. I also would be surprised that they would want him back.
