it was Lewerke's fault.
The MSU-ILL game or the Pats-Falcons' SB?

both, plus Watergate, the Kennedy assassination and staging the lunar landing.

Apollo 13, the movie Heaven's Gate, and Climate Change. And the Edsel. Can't forget the Edsel.
dang.
nice stat!
Peters looked like a champ; I missed him throwing the pick late (was flipping back and forth between that and LSU-Bama) but his 4th and 16 conversion on their last drive was badass.
glad he's having the season he is. good for him. I wish it would've worked out better for us.
I'm not a dork, so I don't celebrate victories online - were you also one of those face painters when you were younger? But since you asked, I took my family to Florida to visit my parents for "New Jersey week." I really only used my computer to check emails for work - I think I may have mad a post on the politics board from my phone, but that's the only time I was on DSF since Halloween. I was hoping for a uofm win but wouldn't have been too broken up if they lost since I like ND too - my dad, 5 of my uncles and a bunch of my cousins went there so they were my favorite team growing up. Anyway, we had a really full Saturday and I was wiped out and fell asleep on the couch before kickoff and missed the whole thing - I did breeze through it with my dad the next morning on the DVR though. It made me realize how much I miss my DVR. Anyway, sorry to disappoint you, but congrats on the win.
In case you're wondering, I won't be rooting for them this week.

Now, now, don't get your panties in a wad. I've been a member since we all came over from the ESPN board. I come around each year when football starts, so I don't know yet how much of a dork you are. tinsel said to take it easy on you, so, since he and I have been buds for years, I'll acquiesce to his request.
I'm not even a little bit upset. And you don't need to take it easy on me, especially if this is the best you can do - I'm sure I can handle it.
Peters is the starting QB on a team that has 6 wins and is going to a bowl game. Illinois did not expect to go to a bowl game. Sounds like he is having a good year. Sometimes a QB's numbers don't tell the entire story.
I have higher aspirations in life than attacking other team's fans on message boards, so, though I could "do much better" should I choose to do so, that first post is probably be the "best" you'll see from me. Unless, of course, you post something really stupid. lol
Hey, where's Spartanmack? He disappeared after the Notre Dame blowout by a mediocre Michigan team. One would think he would be here enjoying his "second-favorite team's" victory.
Looks like he outed himself.
yeah, you're glad he's having the season he's having? Averaging 165 yards passing per game (133 in conference, 86 ex-MSU) with over half his TDs coming against EMU, UConn and Akron and a TD:INT ratio of 2:1 in B1G play. Good for him.
Boy, you sure know a lot about football. It's really too bad he didn't have this kind of success at uofm.
yeah, sometimes numbers don't tell the entire story. For example being bowl eligible doesn't show how good or bad a QB is. This can be especially misleading if you aren't aware that one player doesn't determine whether or not a team becomes eligible or that being bowl eligible isn't particularly impressive since 72 out of 125 D1 teams go to bowl games.
You consider that an attack?
Peters is having a decent season. Things are going well for him. No one is saying that he is a really good QB or that his team is great. I'm sure he enjoyed winning some games, even though his numbers weren't great. I'm sure he is enjoying his time as a starting QB.
pretty weak one, but obviously, yes.
