Yeah, next year it would be bad if Denard got hurt but having one really good QB with an inexperience backup is not that far off what most teams have. Look at this year's Wisconsin, Penn State, MSU....I think the bigger issue is that, right now, we rely on Denard for so much of the offense no matter what QB is in there they wouldn't be able to produce like him.

We still need a few years for our lineman to develop and get a really good RB in there to handle the load before we can really think about having a productive system outside of Denard.

Regardless of what other teams are dealing with, the dropoff from Gardner to Bellomy would be huge, IMO. And your assertion that the offense it too dependant on Denard would only make that dropoff a bigger problem.

Who really knows how big of a drop off, if any, Bellomy is.

Based on intangibles you can't teach, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there's a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge drop off.

i too had that reaction last night but last week he said he'd stay

i think it is also relationship issues

Devin Gardner recently tweeted....

I have a lot, lot, lot of thinking to do!!!

Especially if he doesn't get his medical redshirt I wouldn't blame him at all if he wanted to transfer. But it would suuuuck.

He won't leave you guys. He will see more time next year and after that he at least has one year to prove himself. Just curious, who is the back up next year if he decides to go ?

Edit: Nevermind, should have read on a bit. That is NOT good if he goes.

With the WR position in its current state, if Denard goes down things will likely be very bad. They need some guys to step up.

I'm sure you could find some statistics regarding recruiting rankings and their predictive abilities that would tell you.

Or you could just look at them and watch them throw. But we know assessing talent with your own eyes isn't your strong suit.
