OMFG I am going COMPLETELY CRAZY for March MADNESS

just looked at the play-by-play, Painter let the lead go from 14 to 0 in about 4:35 (from the 10:53 mark of 2nd half) without calling a timeout. There was a TV timeout but they had given up 11 of the 14 point lead by then.

Good pick taking Purdue . I didn’t see how they lost the lead but after a timeout when the game was tied in regulation Matt dail up a great out of bounds play and his player had a easy bunny layup and he just missed it. But they sure did lose that lead fast.

For the record, I am no longer going completely crazy for March Madness.

Once Michigan gets beat the tournament just isn?t that much fun for me anymore. Another damn year we fell short sadly with a really good team. Good year but expectations are higher now under Jb.

I keep trying to tell myself that this team wasn't expected to do this well considering the loss of their top scorers. Still a disappointing end, especially since they were pantsed last night.

Yeah for sure. I agree with you. You could tell as they were walking off the floor at halftime down 24-16 it felt like the score was 34-16. Frustrating because Teske had the size. He just couldn?t finsh. Like everyone he couldn?t hit anything. 1-4 and then he was 2-6 shooting free throws. But when your floor general gets totally decapited you know it is not your night. What is weird is Simpson could never figure out what to do. We have no seen a game like this from him for a long time. 0-5 0 points, 1 assist, 4 turnovers and 2 steals. Heck he had only 1 rebound, and he normally gets 5 a game. So whatever Texas Tech game plan was on Simpson it worked to perfection.

Hopefully he gets really motivated in the off season. I also thought he slowed down as the season wore on with all of his minutes he is playing.
But it just wasn’t him. The whole team just was not ready to play. Didn’t execute and couldn’t make a shot to save their lives. The 2 shot clock prayer threes that Texas Tech hit really sort of broke Michigan’s back. Early when both teams couldn’t hit was where we really needed offensive production. We just couldn’t hit anything not even FT.

I have my best brakcet in years - had 15 of the sweet 16 and so far other than FSU, my FF is in tact. Looks like I may have picked a bad year to quit bracket pools! but I don't watch as much hoops anymore and lately I've been blown up in the first weekend w/ MSU losing early so I gave up and just did one for fun.

I didn't see it either since I don't have cable, I only watched the score and whatever brief coverage was on CBS after the FSU game. I think at one point Purdue was up by 17 in the 2nd half.

Yeah they were up big it was 51-33 with 16 ish left in the second half, and I turned the channel. Next thing I know my friend is texting me saying how Purdue lost most of its lead. Purdue Probably lose the game if that dummy for the vols doesn’t foul Edwards on that 3 attempt in the corner. Clutch free throws after missing the first one be Edwards to tie the game. Oh well maybe next year for Michigan. I just have a hard time wanting any other team to win it all when the wolverines are 0-2 last few years in title games. I will always watch the ncaa games . Just don’t want Duke or Unc or Kentucky to win it all. Hard for me to root for other Big Ten schools in later rounds to win it all when we have been so darn close.

that part was on CBS - I went to get my son out of bed to watch it (he asked if he could watch the first 5 mins of uofm game) but it happened so fast, next thing I saw was 82-82 and UVA inbounding then calling timeout. Then they switched over to mich/tt before OT started and I just saw the scores again.

they blew the lead but they deserved to win w/ that kind of clutch performance to tie it then score 15 in OT - that's a pretty big total for two teams in OT.

My thoughts exactly, though I'll take Purdue to win it all now that we're out. The only good thing about Michigan getting bumped from the tourney is that I can now get back to watching the stuff that's been piling up on the DVR, instead of spending so much time watching basketball.

I'll still pay attention, but obviously not as devoted.

Msu is crushing Lsu at the half 40-28. Unc is up 29-28 with 5ish left in first half. Msu Has two freshmen who are doing a lot of the damage (19 of the 40 points). . Henry is going off on LSU, and the Spartans are hitting a high percentage of three, and lsu is not .Msu 7-17, LSU 2-9, and they Are crushing the Tigers on the board 21-10.

Tigers better get it together if they want to have a vacated Elite 8 appearance.

Lol. I don?t think they have much of a shot in this game. They are getting out hustled and out played at every turn in the game so far.

12 point lead is crushing?

Yes it is plus it was 15 right before lsu hit that three right before half. Game is and was never in doubt even when lead was cut to 4 or 5 early second half. Plus MSU can’t miss from three. Pretty sure you can pencil MSU into to the next round. Congrats to Msu.
