Thank you. It's the exciting time of the year, all 0-0. We need a better start this season. That's quite the OD lineup..

Will we ever see Justin Henry Malloy in Comerica ? Will this team ever just get rid of Baez ? If he doesn’t hit they have to eat his contract right ?

On Malloy.

As his defense continues its choppy development — the Tigers have pretty much called off trying to make him into a third baseman — there will be a high standard for Malloy’s bat. To make this year’s roster, he may need to hit well enough to justify extensive time in the DH slot.

Tigers president of baseball operations Scott Harris recently expressed optimism in Malloy’s ability to play the outfield corners — “I think he has a little bit more athleticism and foot speed and arm strength than we traditionally give him credit for,” Harris said. But the Tigers already have a crowded outfield with Riley Greene, Parker Meadows, Mark Canha and Kerry Carpenter all locks to make the roster. Malloy’s platoon ability, too, may be in doubt — the right-handed batter hit only .232 against lefties compared to .290 against right-handers last season.

Hope we pick up where we left off against the AL central last season.

Looks like I have to watch the WSox broadcast, ugh.

Tigers go out 123 in the top of the first. .. I have to walk the dog.
