Maybe kids are bigger eaters these days... Where do you get 7 hours ? And yes kids can manage. If not buy them a $5 item. Enough to hold them over.

Mitch have you even been to a game lately? $5 might by you Milk Duds.

How long does it take to get to the stadium? Double that. Usually most people arrive about 1 hour before gametime. Games last at least 3 hours. 5-7 hours is what I come up with. And 5 is a absolute low end where you live close to the stadium.

I thought an hour was long.. No way I could 2 hours on a train . But even if they're don't turn into baseball fans it's all about the fun and of course memories. And I know it's way more expensive today.. Bring some treats. Or watch on TV. There's memories there too..

I rarely go to Tigers games anymore. Too much hassle getting up to Detroit and any good ticket is $75. I go to at least 5 Mud Hens games every year. 15 minute drive, good restaurants nearby, I get free tickets and free parking. The Ballpark is great and there isn't a bad seat in the house. We go for 5 or 6 innings, never the entire game. Concessions are just as expensive as Comerica Park though :(
