I think Tebow should challenge Shoelace to a 40 yard foot race.

Get StartedI woke up this morning angry with myself for allowing myself to be drawn back in to TebowMania.
I swore it off and was so glad when it left town and am going to stop now.
But, as an aside, isn't Ryan Mallett still in New England?? I don't see Timmay ever being a regular, starting QB again ...he'll be a Belichick Red Zone gimmick and be lined up as a mind fuck against opponents. And Josh McDaniels can try to prove that he wasn't an incredible bust as head coach and completely wrong in taking Tebow in the 1st Round (so New England wouldn't, as he said at the time...).
I'm a bit of a Pats fan, myself. How can any Michigan fan not be?
I also like Bill Belichick.
I think he has something up his sleeve for Tebow. they would not have taken him just to cut him like that.
The wild card is whether he tones down the absurd over-proselytizing of his religion. that'll get on Belichick's nerves real quick. if it becomes a distraction from focusing on football, Tebow's gone.
I have seen many people say that Tebow wasnt getting another chance because of his beliefs and his tendency to promote them. I dont believe that to be the case. I do think the circus he creates had a lot to do with it And make no mistake Tebow and his team caused much of the circus and drove the bus for give Tim a chance campaign in Denver. several media people have said Tim's brother or another member of his team would call them and leak stories and would tell them everywhere he was going to be and when he would be there. And also the fact remains he was a terrible practice player in Denver and the Jets. Denver at one point said he was 4th on the depth chart. And I agree as stated earlier that the Broncos won in spite of him. Regardless this is Tim's last shot at the NFL. If he cant find a spot to be useful with the Pats he wont anywhere. But I am sure BB has already told him. We will give you a shot but your presence in the media better be minimal if at all.
I don't believe that has anything to do with it. Its all about him being a shitty QB. He's even a bad 3rd string.
All Tim Tebow wants to do play football and proclaim his love for God, and also live his faith. That's a problem for some people, many of whom, I would claim with some reasonable certainty, applauded Mohammed Ali for championing his own religious, social and political beliefs and denounced those who denounced him as "racists," "bigots," and "reactionaries."
We need more players like Tebow in the NFL and fewer like Ben Rothlisberger. Then maybe the so-called "hype" over a player like Tebow would actually diminish.
Vic, stop. Tebow was doing nothing different than when he was in college. Elway is a piece of shit narcissist that couldn't handle that no one wanted to talk about Elway anymore. That dude is so into himself, he proposed marriage into the mirror. Tebow did what he was asked to in Denver. He won. Plain and simple. Isn't that what your supposed to do in the NFL? I would love to have him on the Steelers. Knowing that Charlie Batch had been the back up for the last 25 years, makes one want to jump off a cliff. This guy is better than 75% of Qb's in the league. He deserves a shot. Learning from Brady is blessing(no pun intended). He will learn from one of the greats, if that is the position he is able to compete for.
Man this thread is hilarious...I don't even know where to start...
I cannot be. Once the player graduates from Michigan, I don't support the teams they play for as pros if they don't play for the Lions.
To the extent that I followed the NFL playoffs through the dark years of Lion fandom (which appear to be eternally upon us), I preferred to see a team with a former Michigan QB succeed as opposed to any team with a QB who wasn't a former Michigan QB.
I don't know that that makes me Patriots fan.
At the time she departed as a co-worker at the Los Angeles Daily News to devote herself full time to managing her late father's foundation, the woman who annually awards the Dodgers' team MVP that is named after her late father gave me (and all the other guys working there who were baseball fans) a big giant framable print of Dodgers all time greats.
Whenever the Dodgers aren't playing the Tigers, which is virtually all the time, I prefer the Dodgers to win as opposed to not win.
I don't know that that makes me a Dodgers fan.
I am with you Byco. I will follow the player and hope he does well. But I am a Lion fan.
Let's face it if the Lions ever made it to the Super Bowl I am not sure we would know what to do lol. We are to used to being die hard fans of the worst NFL team on the planet.
