Other Games Week 1

App. St. kicker misses 56-yd FG. I hope they get a pick six.

Edit: Overtime now. Go App. St.!

I?m the only person who picked app state to cover on our pickems game this week.

I am the only person who?s going to get a point on that game.

Not that I have been perfect this week or even actually very good.

This is why I tend not to bother trying to guess scores.

Penn St. game might end on a questionable call; App. St. ball carrier was given the 1st down even though he might have been short. Hmm . . .

Nevermind; App. St. QB throws an INT in the endzone. Crap. Probably for the better, though, because if they had won PSU fans would've been screaming about the previous bad call.

PSU was still clenching their collective butthole, though.

It's like baseball.

If you win 11 out of 20, you compete for the championship at the end of the season.

If you win 9 out of 20, you blew chunks.

If win 10 out of 20, you're an also ran.

But there's no crying in baseball.

You think MSU drops after their near-miss too?

Its possible, but im betting more people watched this game and saw PSU luck out at the end to get it to OT. MSU might luck out because no one watched and stay put.

I actually do a better job of picking the winning horse in any given race, but only if I don't use the factors that bettors use; e.g. if I like a horse's name or color, that horse almost always wins.

I always root for the winner of the Santa Anita Stakes in every race going forward every year.

This year he won the Triple Crown, very much a justified accomplishment.

I wasn't able to work up any enthusiasm for Justify's Triple Crown win. Not only because we just had one win it all 3 years ago, but because I knew that Justify wasn't going to race beyond this year. I hope any future TC winner(s) are fillies or geldings or I never want to see another horse win it again.

LSU kicking Miami Fla's ass.

I picked LSU in the pick 'em, so good!

Miami Fla still seems like a bunch of assholes.
