Just a thread to talk about other games.

I'll start with an NIT game with Georgia and Belmont. Yante Maten who is from Michugan and had an MSU offer has 30 points right now I believe. The guy is a beast!!!

Sunday tournament final game followed with Thursday game out west, not a good combination

Guess I was wrong on Seton Hall, what a pathetic performance tonight from Isiah Whitehead

Also that choke job by Purdue is one of the worst displays of coaching I've ever seen. It's unbelievable how bad Matt Painter is. Karma for swanigan, hope you enjoy seeing the school you spurned make a deep tourney run.

I don't think we were wrong they just had a bad night at the wrong time. It's not like gonzaga took them out of their game - Whitehead was getting open shots and driving to the basket he just couldn't get anything to go down and nobody was picking up the slack - the whole team had a horrible shooting night. The coach definitely takes some of the blame - gonzaga has no depth and they had wiltjer sabonjs and 1 other guy with 2 fouls 10 minutes in and were settling for jumpers. Wiltjer picked up his 3rd early in the second and they still weren't challenging him enough.

That was not the team we saw late in Big eat play and the tourney. They are a good team but they are very young. If whitehead comes back they will be tough next year. That doesn't help my bracket but I only had them winning one more game so it's not the end of the world.

I went 15-1 yesterday in my "upset" bracket, the bracket I pick a bunch of crazy upsets in. Yale stopped me from being perfect.

Painter is the worst coach in the country. He has 2 7 footers, and one was being guarded by a guy 6-3, and he doesn't design a play to get Hammonds the ball in the post. When ALR started pressing, he took out his guards and went with 4 forward and a center. Up 15 with 5 left against a mid major and you lose.

I've said it before, Every time I've watched Purdue play they fade late, they are a poorly conditioned team, they just run out of gas. Painter is a player's coach, he doesn't work them hard, he doesn't get on his players at all when they make mistakes, and he seldom acts like he even cares. Caleb Swanigan is a 29% three point shooter and he's been allowed to take 72 threes this season including one the the BTT CG that cost his team a chance to win and Painter never so much as looked at him cross.

I've watched a decent amount of SHU games, not sure why but I've always liked them. Carrington, Delgado, Rodriguez, and Whitehead are all sophomores so they've got all their big guns coming back next year, they're going to be loaded. Losing Derrick Gordon hurts though, he was a solid defender.

Today may have ruined this years tourney for me. For the first time in my life I have no desire to watch another game all weekend. I hate sports.

Im more than happy to see calipari go home. I dont want his cheating ever translate into a NC.

Screw Syracuse, I've always hated them since childhood, no idea why I guess I just despise Jim Boeheim. The fact that they're cheating pieces of shit doesn't help my hate for them. I hope UNC throttles them.

Im tired of seeing UNC in it, I never liked ND. I wont mind if Syracuse wins it. I was kind of pulling for Virginia. Anyway, I dont really care what happens :lmao:

I watched with a casual interest at best since MSU got eliminated, but it looks to me like the 2 best teams are in the final. I've been skeptical of Villanova for 3 years now (and the Big East in general), but they are defending at a level that we couldn't hope to approach on even our best days, and they make you pay on the other end when you turn it over. UNC is getting outside shooting now to go with their powerful inside game and playing up to their potential. We'd have been hard-pressed to beat either team they way they are playing right now.

I think I have watched one game the entire tournament. People say this is the greatest sporting event...but unless you have a team playing or a live bracket...it's over rated.

I watched about half of each final four game and off the top of my head I can't think of a worse FF - OU/Nova was easily the worst game unless you're a Nova fan and the Syr/unc game was never in doubt either. It would be tough to beat the Butler/uconn(vict) championship game for worst final ever but this FF was easily one of the worst I've ever seen.

The NCAA tournament is usually a great spectacle, but 2 years ago when we saw a championship game that featured a 7 seed vs an 8 had me starting to rethink whether it is really a good way to determine a champion.

I think a better way might be to re-seed all the teams after every round, so highest remaining seed in each region plays lowest remaining and so forth. Though I get that would be a logistical nightmare and render impossible the ability for everyone to fill out a bracket ahead of time from beginning to end (which let's face it even if the NCAA would never admit as much due to the gambling component, is a HUGE consideration).
