Does someone know the rules about how When the TV networks/programs have to announce kickoff times?

Can they wait until Next Sunday, after our BYE and PSU?s next game?

Asking because I would have tickets unless it?s a night game, in which case the seller wants to go.

PSU won and Michigan won

I've been reading for a while now that IF both are still doing well, to expect a night game.

3:30pm gametime

Thanks!! Heard it here first, thanks Hungry!!

Dr Dave doubted my text to him, but I was able to reference MGoBlue as well - sounds like I will have Tickets then!!!

I saw 3:45 as the start time. Not much of a difference, but still. . .

I?ll bet it makes a difference to the Michigan marching band.

They?ll be performing the national anthem.

Colin Kaepernick will probably not be at the game-I don?t think there?s any reason he would be-but if he is there, the time they play the national anthem also probably makes a difference to him.

I was thinking about it making a major difference to the viewers more than anything.

In any case, that will be yet another weekend where I will have to hope no one around me spills the beans about the game results because I'll be missing the game that day. Yes, I know that makes me a horrible fan. :p

Missing the game doesn?t make you a horrible person.

Missing the national anthem-that?s what makes you a horrible person.

That is just downright un-American and unpatriotic.

I do not know if the national anthem is played at the event I will be attending or, if it is, what time it's played. I don't even know what time I will be getting there myself; the gates open at 8:00a.m. but the first race doesn't even start until around noon.

It’s horse racing?

Typically they would play the national anthem right before the marquee race of the day.

EDIT: You’re going to the Breeders’ Cup. That’s cool. Several years ago when the Breeders’ Cup was out here at Santa Anita, I had tickets but I had a semi family emergency and I had to give my tickets away.

EDIT: The Classic Looks to be the major race of the day and it’s also the final one at 5:44 PM. I would bet-get it I would bet? They’ll play the national anthem right before that one.

sounds like you're voluntarily attending a different sporting event during a Michigan game.

by definition you are a bad fan.

I would say to MichChamp?s point - Why don?t you just watch the game live on Your handheld device? - The game is on ESPN.

Not going to the game or watching it from home doesn?t make a person a horrible fan, but if a person has the ability to do both-go to the breeders cup AND watch the game on their handheld device-That?s actually a little bit horrible.

Haha, you knows what's up!

Yes, I will be at the Breeders' Cup (on Saturday, anyway), and yes, it will probably be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me because it's been living in California for most of the last decade despite the venues rotating every year for most of its history. Although it will be back in Kentucky in 2020, I'm not sure if I'll be able to go that year, so I'm striking while the iron's hot.

In all my years of watching it on TV, I don't remember them showing the national anthem. Doesn't necessarily mean they don't, though.

Edit: Since I've never been fond of phones, I only have a fairly basic smartphone. I still might be able to watch the game between races; it would certainly give me something to do for the 30-50 minutes spent waiting for the next set of ponies to come out.

Double edit: Amazing how quickly this thread got hijacked.

Six years ago I got the most basic smart phone they had and I was able to download the ESPN app onto it and watch ESPN. It finally went kaput and I got the most basic smart phone out now, which is pretty close to my last for smart phone with a few more bells and whistle?s. You should absolutely be able to download the ESPN app onto your smart phone. If you need help just go Your customer support. Every sports fan who has the ability to have ESPN on their smart phone should have ESPN on their smart phone.

As far as jacking the thread, the thread is fairly conceptually simple-?hey what time does the game start??

So once that was answered, there wasn?t much left to say about the OP of the thread.

Point taken in both cases. I will at least try to be a good fan and watch UM (hopefully) pound PSU into the ground while also hoping either Discreet Lover or Mind Your Biscuits wins the Classic.

All I know is that we will be in the Golf Course before the sun rises and partying all day until the 3:45pm kickoff vs psu!

(Where is the Breeder's Cup ....Santa Anita?)

. . .(Where is the Breeder's Cup ....Santa Anita?)

This year's Breeders' Cup is at Churchill Downs. I have been wanting to see this track from the inside since I was in middle school.

It would be cool to get there someday. I?ve been to Santa Anita Park a number of times, and while I?m sure that venue it?s self is not as cool as Churchel downs, there are very few sporting venues-one of them is the Rose Bowl what the heck-that have the spectacular background of the San Gabriel Mountains.
