I never really liked him, but I respect his talent immensely. This guy could get a really raw deal in the next couple weeks. If he ever played for an owner like the ones we have in Detroit, this BS would never happen. I would kick Roethlisberger off the Steelers in a heartbeat to have this guy for 3 good years. There would be one trip to the Super Bowl in there for sure, maybe two, win or lose.

Let's be honest Jim Irsay, where were the colts before Manning arrived and what happened when he was injured. You will suck for years to come. If I were you, I'd sign him for 3 so you're at least competitive until you sell.

...and Woodson is still going strong. More evidence that the Heisman committe got it right.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it UT!

I find it hard to feel sorry for a guy that made 28 mil this year without taking a snap. I think he will be better off to be cut by the Colts. They are in full rebuilding mode and Jeff Saturday is retiring so if he stayed with the Colts he would be playing on a bad team with a patchwork line with a neck that is one bad hit away from ending his career. I think his best option would be to retire before he gets an injury that ruins the rest of his life.

Irsay is cheap.

And business is business. Willie Mays was traded ... Johnny Unitas ... Joe Montana ... Jerry Rice and so forth.

I wouldnt say he is cheap. Its just you can keep Peyton and Luck with a salary cap and build a team. Its to much money wrapped up in one spot when you can only play 1 at a time

well, he's not the most generous owner out there, for sure.

I think Shanahan and the Redskins and Daniel Snyder might be intriguing for Manning's final run. And for Indy, it would get him out of the AFC and set up a Manning Brother NFC East rivalry.

Saving 28 million is smart... It's what owners do... They paid Manning this year so he should have not complaints.

You simply will not be able to pay players if there are no one in the seats. Manning made the Colts, its just that simple. If it wasn't for Manning, they wouldn't be able to pay him the amount he is getting. I think that much is cut and dry. Business is business, we all get that. But I think Irsay forgets that the Colts were a lame duck franchise waiting to fold before Manning arrived.
