PFF review week 11

One thing I have noticed watching qb's like Peyton and Brady is they make yards after the catch so much easier for the receiver. They hit them in stride or throw them open. I almost never see that with Stafford. Seems like almost all the YAC for tate this year have been him making crazy plays after the catch.

I don't know if people remember Jerry Rice back in the day with Joe Montana and Steve Young. Those two QB's were great and VERY accurate. They lived off of the slant. Rice would run the slant across the middle and those two QBs would hit him in stride. He was running at full speed and more often than not the ball was perfectly thrown at the right height and in stride. That is how you get YAC. Of course those 3 were three of the best of all time.

Giving CJ a drop on a pass where he had to stop because the throw was bad...well, that's not how you get YAC!
