Pistons 92 Jazz 87 Final

Utah was a game I thought we'd lose. Tough back to back against a team that plays hard defense. Nice to see the team looking competitive early on.

Another test Friday with the Bulls.

Yeah I was surprised we played with this much grit after playing so good last night..

Back to backs are tough. They may not be world beaters, but they look really tough and strong on the glass.

I was bashing Jackson all game and he still shot 7 for 14 LOL.. I did think he rushed at times and jacked up shots when he could have run more offense..

Johnson was only 3 for 10 and he was jacking ill advised shots but he really battled hard..
He had 5 boards and we out rebounded Utah 43-38.

I bashed Blake the other night but he really knows how to find guys as a point guard.. 7 assists off the bench is decent right?

They look like they actually care out there which is more than I could say about recent Pistons teams.

Not sold yet..didn't they get off to a good start last year too?

Five guys in double figures again and Russian who started had 8..

Must have been two years ago then. I thought we were thinking playoffs early on and then they fell apart? Or maybe I'm just getting old haha

2 years ago they were 10-10 after 20 games. I guess that's what I was thinking of.

No, remember how bad they were last year? They were like 5-23 or something god awful.

I must have blocked last year from my mind. I probably watched 3 games all season honestly.

I am completely surprised how that turned out. I thought Burke would be such a good player in the pros. His lack of athleticism is just killing him.

I have no problem eating crow on that one. I was furious when they passed on Burke. Thanks Joe!

It's the first time the Pistons have been two games over .500 since they were 33-31 in March of 2009....

That's really hard to fathom.

The victory is bittersweet, Jodie Meeks fractured his ankle in the first half. My first impression is out for awhile. We'll need Reggie Bullock to step up.

Fudge on Meeks ... shoot though it was just a sprain.

Jodie even while healthy has been a real big disappointment. Wish him well, but I'm not sure how much of a future he has with this team.

His future was his contract length, 3 seasons for a decent perimeter shooter off the bench. Dime a dozen. Still, wish him well with the injury, not a bad guy to have off the bench for 15 minutes a game.
