Every damn time I turn the the channel to the Cubs they are hitting a homer.. Cringe one was a Fucking 0-2 pitch where the catcher set up in Florida and the pitcher still missed his spot :/

Anyway i digress.. Why the heck can't we get athletic like some of these playoff teams..
Makes me sick watching other clubs right now with the money we spent.. We must just have
shitty scouts..

I have thought for the longest time the people in charge of drafting, scouting, prospects evaluators all suck.
If they were any good at their jobs, we would have had better depth to have compensated better with the injuries.

Hey how bout that even the freakin' cubs might actually win a championship before the Lions do! They about to take down the Cardinals it would appear, wow..

All in all though if it makes you sick watching other clubs then just do what I do and don't watch. lol.

Truth, as a team the Detroit Tigers are stupid. Players are just dumb.

I guess its for pain... Hard not to root for the Cubs or Astro's, and Texas.. I cannot root for the Jay's,Cardinals or Mets or dodgers or Royals .. They can all suck it.. I just see tiger uniforms when i am watching and dreaming of another WS title. I mean for crying out loud we probably jacked up 3 great shots at winning a WS title the last 10 years... It is frustrating.

I know.. the Pain runs deep not just from the Tigers but even more so from the Lions all these years of letdown take their toll. I just keep trying to tell myself what doesn't kill me makes me stronger and that maybe someday when it finally does happen it'll be all the sweeter. I've been telling myself this for many years now though and prolly many more to come. should be tough as nails by now shouldn't I. LOL..

Cubs one series closer... Man if they win this year They could run off a few in a row..

In the history of the American League, the Tigers are the only franchise whose best three years of playing .645 ball or better didn?t result in a world championship. There?s a team in the NL that shares that same unlucky distinction?the Dodgers. In 1953 they were a .682 team but lost the series. In 1942 they played .675 ball but finished second, and in 1941 they were a .649 team but lost the series. So, when it comes to great seasons that fell flat, the Tigers and Dodgers stand alone?their three very best years all ended in disappointment.

This season marked the centennial of that 1915 Detroit season. It passed unnoticed. The Tigers that year featured a great outfield. Ty Cobb batted .369, Bobby Veach .313, and Sam Crawford .299. Cobb scored 144 runs, and Veach and Crawford each drove in 112.

That club and the 1961 Tigers' team share the distinction of being the best Tiger teams that never won a pennant.
So don?t feel too sorry for this year?s NL Central teams.

Longer list then I would have thought.

I absolutely hate the Cubs and the bulk of their obnoxious and idiotic fanbase. I would like the Mets to win the NL since I dislike the Dodgers too but the Cubs owned NYM this year, and I will not be able to handle the Cubs somehow getting into the World Series or I might lose my mind.

I'm on the Blue Jays bandwagon though, rooting hard for them to win it all. If not them then the Astros or the Mets.

Blue Jays had two titles in the 90's....not a chance I will root for them . Astros, mets,kc and cubs are my rooting interest.I sort of do not want the Cubs because it will just prove how good Theo and his scouting is... they may go on a dynasty type run if they get this one..

Hate the Cubs and want the Mets? You must really hate the Cubs.

I want the Astros. Great story of talent evaluation and application of advanced stats and analytics ... without breaking the bank. The polar opposite of the Tigers. I said in 2014 the Astros would be in the post season inside of two years.

well....at least most of them suck or are playing like shit in the playoffs! That takes the sting out a little bit

I share these exact same thoughts. I work with a ton of obnoxious Cub's fans and they act like they already won it all. This morning I told a few of them I hope they make it to the world series and lose it in 7. LOL

I actually don't mind the Mets. I like Granderson, Cespedes, David Wright, and they are the lesser of the evils of the two New York teams.

Simply never understood this rationale.

It's not fair because they won a WS since the Tigers did! I recall you saying the same about the Royals last year.

It's nobody's fault but the Tigers that they tanked in the '06 and '12 world series.

Personally, I'd like to see the Blue Jays and Dodgers play.

That great story has a dark side too.

The Astros were purposely tanking for years, trading every quality player they had and losing more and more and doing it just so they could draft better. I remember Dan and Jim mentioning that a few other AL owners has complained to Selig that Astros ownership/management was purposely not putting the best product on the field.

So I'm rooting for them to tank, just like they did all those years on purpose.
