Bama opened as 9 point favorites. Like the matchup though. We weren't going to get an easy team, all 4 teams in the playoffs are great.

If Florida couldn't stop Henry, I really don't see MSU doing it. And MSUs offense has been not the best as of late, and facing the best defense in the country.

Florida and MSU have about the same level of rush defense, I can't see Henry being stopped. LSU and Florida are both ranked in rush defense right next to MSU, neither team could "Make Coker beat us"

Florida did stop Henry for most of the game but got gassed from being on the field all game. Florida went about 25 minutes of game play without a first down.

And our defense is a completely different unit the last 4 games. I like the matchup with their O, it's our O against their D that is concerning. We have to be able to pass. Cook has almost 4 weeks to get that shoulder healthy.

I know. 3 weeks is a long wait. However, look at the bright side......it's 3 weeks we get to ask all the U of M and OSU fans at work what playoff game they're playing in?

These next 3-1/2 weeks are going to be glorious! Every BTN Football show will lead with MSU and devote a larger portion to our game. They'll talk Iowa and then Ohio State 2nd and 3rd. After that they'll get around to a small segment on the mid level Big Ten programs like Wisky, Indiana, and Michigan. Work conversations about college football are going to be all about MSU vs Bama and the UM fans will be quiet or only talk in private.

Beat Bama, and we'll get another 11 days of even more. Win or lose the off season for the Big Ten is going to focus heavily on MSU.

Unfortunately, I do know a few obnoxious MSU fans that will annoy the hell out of me if they win. I don't know any Clemson fans or Oklahoma fans. I know one asshole that is a huge Bama fan. Them winning it all would be the worst case scenario for me!

I have no beef with Michigan fans rooting against us, because odds are I would be doing the same if the reverse were true. It's part of a rivalry. The worst though are the people who will do it openly and obnoxiously, living vicariously through a rival's opponent is weak.

Lol...no, I converted to Conservative which was a compromise between my wife and I as she was more Modern Orthodox and I was leaning more toward Reformed. We agreed to keep Kosher in the house but I eat what I want outside the house. It works for us.

I do miss having pork steaks on the grill. Restaurants serve the lower quality pork chops because that is more recognizable, but taste wise, give me a pork steak grilled with some Lowry's seasoning salt...damn good eatin' right there! My step-dad had a real knack for cooking that up just perfectly. That and his Sunday bacon and eggs over-easy on the griddle. The man had a gift for making those things I wish I could equal. Somethings are just natural talents and his exceeded mine. He never used a timer or thermometer, he just sensed when something was ready. I grill that way too and can hold my own, but my memories of his cooking I have not matched.
