Playoff OT Rules Adopted For Regular Season

I'm in favor of more replays. But use the college system. Coaches don't need challenges either. If it's close, review it. The networks are already showing you 2 or 3 different camera angles before the next snap.

Adding more replays at least gives you the chance to get it right...and that's what I'm in favor of. Sometimes it's obvious to everyone except the 1 guy who has the whistle. Games are too important and meaningful to hope a ref was in the correct position to make the right call. 1 game can mean the difference between a home playoff game or missing the playoffs.

And personally I don't care if it adds an extra 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes to a game. I'm not in a hurry for it to end anyways. You know what I do when the Lions game ends...I find another football game to watch...or I just keep posting about the game with all of you.

So you dismiss the argument that they don't get it right anyways even with the aid of replay? Calvin Johnson? The game still rests on the opinion of the official, who seems to still get it wrong in super slow mo? Forget cyborg refs, how about getting to some that don't belong to the AARP?

And it's not the length of the game it's the length of not the game (if that makes sense) that bothers me. Tell me you haven't sat there and said, oh not another fn stoppage/commercial.

The owners rejected proposals to have all instant replays reviewed by the booth rather than by referees on the field and to outlaw horse-collar tackles on a quarterback in the pocket.
