Ohio State rolling both Tennessee and Oregon makes the fact that we beat them in Columbus even funnier.

I'm seeing OSU fans of course saying that if they had just thrown the ball more, they would've easily beat us.

I don't think that's true.

I think our defense was really that good, Martindale came up with a good plan, and also Makari Paige gave Will Howard a concussion when they tried to use him as a runner.

It really WAS stupid to have your QB take off with the ball when you have those receivers, and his job should just be distributing the ball to whichever one has the least coverage on that play.

As a Vandy fan, I was glad to see OSU beat the crap out of UT. Would have rather seen Oregon win yesterday though. Surprised that game wasn’t even close.

Hopefully Texas takes care of them.

Damn... 4 teams left, and only one is an SEC team, and it's Texas.

I thought they were the superior conference for uh... reasons other than paying players under the table, and no one could compete with them?

Sagarin's updated rankings have UM 12th! OSU, ND, Texas, and Penn St. are the top 4, in that order.

this must be hard for some UM fans. Two teams that you hate.
it does suck, but neither will be an undefeated champion, and we beat one of the two (again), and clobbered ND the last time we played, so, whatevs. I don't think anybody really expected us to make the playoffs this year anyway.

That 2023 Michigan team would've run the table again this year, and probably had an even easier time doing it.

We'll be back.

I do believe that UM will be back. Not sure if UM would run the table without knowing the plays and Harbaugh as the coach ;)

BTW...I'm not trolling. This board has become somewhat boring since they changed the format. I hope all of my UM friends here are having a good new year...even you!

Thanks you too. I am still happy we won the national title, so don't really care we went 8-5 this year. We were trending in the right direction at the end, which is huge.

Beating OSU makes them (probably) winning a national title a little more palatable.

I'm at least at "I hope they both lose" but have to admit it would be more obnoxious if ND wins it. I'm not rooting for OSU exactly, but yeah.

I probably only watched about 5 UM games this year. They were definitely better than their record. Not sure what happened...was it coaching or just a bad offense? Their D was still great.

With hindsight, I can safely say Moore screwed up the QB situation: 1) he should've backed Warren and had him QB1 going back to the spring game, instead of
Orji; and 2) he should've stuck with him during the season, instead of waffling to Orji and then Tuttle.

We could've beaten Washington, Illinois, and hell maybe even Oregon and Indiana, if he had done that.
