Get StartedI thought that was a 12 step recovery thing. This is where the Serenity Prayer comes in handy.
At least they weren't caught cheatingCongrats OSU boosters. You bought yourself a championship for $20MM.
And got rumors planted in the media each week about your last two opponents' coaches being considered for NFL jobs to try to create distractions for them - which probably didn't matter given the results on the field.
oh snapAt least they weren't caught cheating
What do you mean they didn't matter? Did you see those games? Obviously, the propaganda campaign had a HUGE impact, which is good because they probably spent more time planting stories than working on Xs & Os. I'm sure they're thankful they put in all that hard work in the rumor mill instead of wasting it in the weight room or watching film of their opponents.Congrats OSU boosters. It moved the "politics" of choosing a champion from after the games are played, to the playoff selection committee, which I think at least gives a more objective result. this year, anybody had any business complaining about being left out. They still did of course, but no reasonable people would agree with them.Having experienced all manners of determining a national champion, the one that still has the most interest and impact to me is the Mythical version that ended in 1997. BCS, 4-team playoff, 12-team playoff -- none of them compare to the New Year's Day bowl games for sheer gravitas.
