Get StartedGood discussion, it's 90% Stafford, 10% Lombardi. Stafford is done here, I fully expect him to be yanked for good a some point this season. If hes incapable spotting wide open receivers in a "vanilla" offense, then I've seen enough of him here. There's just no excuse
There goes the theory that the weapons just need to get open.
Honestly, I think this goes back to Caldwell and Lombardi coming in and trying to fix Stafford's mechanics. He just is not comfortable at all, from having happy feet to bad reads, he is completely out of tune.
Yet, in the hurry up he doesn't have time to work through the new way and reverts to a more comfortable and natural style. By fixing him, they actually made him worse.
Now, is some of that due to Stafford? Of course! He probably resents these new guys coming in trying to fix his bad habits. Telling an NFL QB he isn't throwing properly after he had once thrown over 5000 yards using that style was likely not well received, whether he voiced his displeasure or not.
And this is why so many are saying let him return to Bing a gunslinger, because he is flat out not comfortable. Add in OL play and lack of running game placing more pressure, both physical and emotional, and they guy has become a broken shell of his potential.
How about I ban you ten %?
I didn't write that. God forbid someone has a different opinion than you.
