Possible fine coming for Suh?

id honestly sue the NFL if I was Suh....and bring a tape of every legal hit as evidence as to why your hit was legal. Have a second lawsuit for harassment. This is getting ridiculous.

I just watched the vid linked to the article. Merton Hanks is a fucking ass clown, how can you rule that Suh hit Weeden's body with his head and that is a finable offense? Suh didn't spear him, he just lowered his head to avoid hitting the QB in the head, isn't this what Goodell wants? Aren't they supposed to be hitting a QB in the body instead of the head? This is the biggest mickey mouse ruling the NFL has ever had, seriously helmet to the body is now a finable offense?

Suh has put himself in this position. With all the bonehead plays he has made, the NFL isn't going to cut him a break for nothing. Suh lead with his helmet and that's what caused a fine. Did he deserve it, probably not but again, he's put himself in this position. Suh got to learn how to play by the rules and cut back on mental mistakes.

Hitting the QB in the body with your helmet isn't against the rules. I don't think I have ever seen a tackle without making some contact with your head, well unless you count the one by they headless horseman but the rules were different back then.

And he didn't lead with his head his hands were out in front of him.

Watch the replay...He had his head down, lead with his head and drove it into the chest. The NFL isn't going to let Suh get away with anything at this point as they shouldn't. He's made bonehead play after bonehead play since being in this league and hasn't learned. Say what you want but the NFL isn't going to fine Suh for "No Reason".

If you get written up at work showing up 15 min late too many times, your boss isn't going to say good job if you show up 4 min late the next day.

Again, it isn't against the rules to hit the QB with your helmet. He lowered his strike zone by lowering his head and he put his hands out in front of him. He makes contact with his forehead and his eyes are looking at the numbers on Weedens chest, that is not illegal, that is a clean hit. Not lowering his head and hitting Weeden in the chin is against the rules. They are twisting things to intentionally fine him, I want the NFL to show where hitting a QB in the body with your head is against the rules.

They are watching every play of SUh, when they see any kind of an illegal hit by Suh, he's fined. PERIOD. Is it right, no, but that's the way it is for him now. Unfortunately, he has nobody but himself to blame.

Maybe one of the kids on the short bus can explain it better but I'll try one more time, THE HIT WASN'T ILLEGAL!

Welcome to the conversation, if you look around I'm sure you can find a thread talking about how BS it is and how the NFL is making up rules just to fine him. I believe its labeled something like "Possible fine coming for Suh?" its full of intelligent posters who agree its a BS fine.

I wouldn't disagree that it's a BS fine but I could watch the video and see the NFL isn't fining Suh for "no reason" or "making up rules". If he doesn't do it by the books, he's getting taxed here on out.

great explanation. the only "rule" even close is spearing...which he clearly wasn't doing. This is the most bullshit fine ive ever seen. I swear something needs to be done. if I was Schwartz I would send video of every tackle where a helmet hits the ballcarrier for the rest of my career just to piss the NFL off.

"is this a fine"
"this?"
"how bout this one?"
"fine this guy..tackled with his helmet on"
"goodell....got another one for ya"
"here ya go...used his helmet"
"helmet was on...tackled someone...fine him please"

Haha. Those were some nice posts, schles.

"Maybe one of the kids on the short bus can explain it better but I'll try one more time.."

That was funny..

I am not surprised he got fined the way they were talking but I fail to see how this hit is in any way illegal or finable. This one is as much bullshit as the cutler hit. Its shear targeting by the NFL and I think this one should get reversed on appeal. With all the actual finable hits why is this clean hit being fined. Nonsense.
