Raburn is back

Mch you make it sound like it was a foot in a hal outside... There have been 50-100 worse balls and strike calls then the on RR let go by.. it is all mental with him now.. He does not have a clue what he wants to do at the plate.. He needs to clear his mind and let it rip.... The swing that is!!!!

I gotta agree with Mitch here, it was high....players(except for Boesch) let those go because they're only good for infield popups.

If he had popped it up, people would still be bitching, it was high/ball and he got hosed, just because he's Raburn and been terrible (or a scrub as Bob put it) does not change that, it wasn't a strike, he had a beef.

Absolutely retarded arguing on wether Raburn got hosed or didn't get hosed on a strike 3 call. Bottomline....he's dogshit, especially worse against righties.

Given that the ump brought his hand up and called out I agree. But the pitch wasn't a strike. Bet I had a better view.

Meh...at least take your fn bat off your shoulders. It was close enough...

whether it was a strike or not makes no difference, what's the 1st thing they teach you in Little League with 2 strikes on you.... anything close and you have to protect the plate.
the day before he was sent home, he struck out 3 times looking.

That's the million dollar question. Was it really anything close?

The difference between little league and the major leagues, is that the strike zone is twice as big in the little leagues, hence the logic to protect the plate and swing at anything close.

That strategy isn't applicable at the major league level.

If you believe the pitch is a strike, you swing, if you think its a ball, even with 2 strikes, you take.

it's not what you think, it's what the umpire might think... all umpires have different strike zones.

And the ump failed. That was a pop up pitch. We would have just been yelling at him for a difference reason.

who knows what would have happened if he swung at it, he might have blooped a single over short scoring 2 runs...I know one thing for sure, you are not going to stick around in the major leagues making excuses why you are hitting a buck sixty, sitting with your bat on your shoulders with the bases loaded.

Did he make an excuse? He just disagreed and most players do and more if you're going .160.

Yeah he might have gotten a bloop single but IMO, it was way out of the strike zone to swing at, 2 strikes or not. I didn't see it as too close to not swing at. I saw it as "if you swung at that no wonder you're at a buck sixty.

Its just we see things differently, I thought it was a laughable strike and anyone worth salt would and should let it it go.
