Race to the bottom

Actually Dan Patrick said that the other day, so you are second...but first on DSF if that helps.

I don't see it, personally, but what do I know. What does USC have that appeals? Granted I'm biased as I really dislike that school, but whatevs.

Yet Detroit has something to offer?

Maybe they do. How can you say with 100% certainty that they do not?

All I have done is tossed out the name of someone I would like as the Lions coach. Why D you feel it necessary to attack that when you are not that person, have no idea what he would or would not do, what motivates him and what doesn't...yet it is important to you to say it is absolutely impossible and mock any potential reason he might have on a personal level as being stupid. You do not know him, who are you to say what he will or will not do?

If you wish to argue against him being coach because he wouldn't be a good fit or whatever, fine. But there is no more reason to assume he is desiring to coach at USC than coach for New Orleans, Kansas City, Miami, Detroit, or any other potential job opening.

All I have said is with Jim coaching at UM, there MIGHT be a family bond that would appeal to him going to Detroit as opposed to elsewhere. You are behaving like I said something extremely outrageous. It has a percentage, albeit small, chance of influencing him to come to Detroit. Of course it might also be a reason for him to never consider Detroit due to some family issue, but I have never seen anything in their relationship to suggest they would never be able to live that close by. This isn't about you or anyone else's familial relationships, only there's. So give me one, just one specific example of how they despise each other enough that it would prevent John Harbaugh from coaching the Lions.

It's called a discussion. You mention he'd want to come to Detroit to be close to his brother when they've been far apart before, SF and Baltimore. You wonder why USC, what do they have to offer so I asked what does Detroit have to offer. It's called a discussion ..

As far not liking each other, what the hell you talking about? Who said that?

Don't worry guys...Lions are still in the #1 slot

Team.................SoS
Detroit 1-5--------.543
Jacksonville 1-5---.600
Baltimore 1-5-----.629
KC 1-5-------------.714

If we get in high enough to take Nkemdiche or Bosa, fine by me. We need to resupply the D-Line... and the O-line... and the secondary... and the.... fuck me.

Im sold on nkemdiche....not so much on bosa. Safety from fla would be a solid pick if we string some wins together and end up picking around 10.

Id still take a LT.....because

1. We need it.
2. It's very much like getting 2 picks......as sliding Reiff to RT is also a big instant upgrade.

After that....if Connor Cook happened to be available in the 2nd....he's my guy.

Cook is slated at #3 overall on waltermock currently. He needs some other nfl ready qbs to step up if he's going to drop.

Time to revive this thread.

Lions picked up some ground this past weekend. From what I have seen, looks like Lions are #5, but feel free to correct that as I'm just as likely wrong.

Stand a chance to move up a couple slots. Could use a Chargers victory and Lions losing out (so Niners game is a loss which moves Detroit closer to the top).

Could get a #3 slot!

2----Cleveland-----3-10-----.509

Fortunately the last three weeks should bring that SOS down. Whether the Lions actually lose is another matter.

Thanks for update grandy. Was looking at standings sorted by League and Lions were 5th from bottom. Didn't have SoS figured in to it.

Got some work to do to get into top 5 it seems.

And doesn't the loss to San Diego look so much worse now? They would be in pole position if the Lions had won that game. Ugh...Caldwell can't manage to beat bot to feeders.

Still, they somehow broke the @Lambeau streak. Guess that will be the shining Caldwell era moment.

San Francisco is looking like a 'must lose' game if the Lions have any hope of maintaining a high position. They could win and potentially do it at 5-11, but that'll most likely keep them in the latter half of the single digits.

I don't see any shot of them winning in NO. Chicago is 50/50. Unfortunately, they are just less shitty than SF.

If we finish the season with case keenum and blaine gabbert beating matt Stafford. wow....lmao.

Beating Matt Stafford.......that's fucking priceless lol. Not the Lions, but they beat Matt Stafford.

You're right Tony, in most cases Matt Stafford beats himself. Like that pick six against the Rams, we can't credit Keenum for that one!

Update after week 15

Pos--Team---------Record----SoS
1----Tennessee-----3-11-----.490
2----Cleveland------3-11-----.520
3----Baltimore------4-10------.490
4----San Diego------4-10-----.510
5----Dallas-----------4-10-----.551
6----San Francisco--4-10-----.571
7----Miami-----------5-9------.449
8----Jacksonville-----5-9------.469
9----New Orleans----5-9------.526
10---Chicago----------5-9------.561
11---Detroit---------5-9------.561

Chicago is ahead of us because of a worse conference record
