I'll give them 5/10 over the last decade that I liked or was at least okay with. The other five were strong hatred though.I think the only 1st round draft pick I liked over the past 10 years is Suh. Of course, at that point in the draft a monkey would have made the same pick.
- Mike Williams - hated that we took a fat WR who had sat out a full season.
- Ernie Sims - absolutely hated this pick at the time
- Calvin Johnson - I LOVED this pick after seeing what an athletic freak he was at the combine. I wanted Calvin, AP, or Joe Thomas there, and any of them would have been fantastic.
- Gosder Cherilus - hated that we took a no name OT who was like the 5th rated OT that year at #17.
- Matt Stafford - I was fine with the pick. Hoped we could trade out of #1, but knew that was unlikely. We needed a QB and he was my favorite out of a fairly weak group.
- Ndamukong Suh - I LOVED this pick. The guy was such a monster in college.
- Nick Fairley - I liked the pick at the time because he was so talented.
- Riley Reiff - I liked that we finally took an OL to replace Sackus. I think I wanted DeCastro at OG more at the time, but was fine with this pick.
- Ziggy Ansah - I hated the pick at the time simply because he only had like 2yrs of football in his life. There were a few guys I wanted to take instead, but Ziggy has looked like a smart pick so far.
- Eric Ebron - absolutely hated this pick. I wanted Lewan, one of the WRs, a CB, or just about anybody but Ebron.
