Rams trade #2 pick

I completely understand the importance of a franchise QB, but 3 number 1 picks is way too steep a price. It's ridiculous. They overpaid now matter how great RG3 turns out. It's going to be tough to build a solid future without those first round picks for the next several years.

Great job by the Rams. You legally raped someone.

where the hell are some of you guys getting 3 numbers 1s ???

like Mitch said they flipped picks in 2012.

and who knws where the Skins finish in 2013 and 14 they could be late 1st rounders.

for a team thats been looking for a QB for 20 years...they did pay dearly but hey they had the balls to do it.

the Browns were gonna do the same type deal....so RG3 must have the scouts drooling...Holmgren and Shannahan know QBs

And future ones lose value. While the Rams wait for their 2013 and 2014 pick, RG3 is playing ball.

Rams team sources tell the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the Browns were willing to trade both their 2012 first-round picks to acquire St. Louis' No. 2 pick.
If true, it raises questions about why the Rams were so quick to accept the Redskins' offer, as the Browns were also reportedly willing to send three first-rounders and a second-round pick. If Cleveland was open to dealing both its 2012 first-rounders and its 2013 first-round pick, its package would have been markedly better than Washington's. It's possible Jeff Fisher and Mike Shanahan's supposedly cozy relationship played a part in Washington winning the RGIII sweepstakes.

I'm guessing the rams were thinking that they'd get 2 top 10 picks out of the trade with washington and that with cleveland they'll get a #22 pick and a top 10 pick next year.

two more years of top 10 picks plus their own picks? I'd probably take that too.

Im just not sure washington has the team to make this the best possible move. There defense has pieces but isnt what it used to be under the bounty man. Also the offense isnt very good. There is no wr that scares anybody they have two pretty decent TEs and a lackluster oline and rbs. We shall see. Shanahan does know offense so it could be interesting.

Not 1 chance he'll go Redskins. He won't want to complete with Eli. No way.

How brilliant would the skins be to now say to the browns they can have pick for same offer made to rams plus an extra pick or two? If brownies are desperate enough, the skins could win bigger than the rams did as it appears the rams were just not willing to deal with the browns as they had better offer if this is true.

I'd give up 2 first rd picks for Rodgers in a heart beat. If you think he's a real deal then go for it. You have the money to build around him.

How many 1st round picks do the skins have that are worth something anyway. They have needed a qb for decades. If RG3 turns out to be a pro bowler then it was definitely worth it.

I think the funnier move is the Jets giving Sanchez a 3 year extension.
I don't think it's funny. That deal is going to cost the loins. If dirty Sanchez got that much just think what stafford will get.

But Staff is actually good.

if Stafford has another 16 game , 4500+ yard 30+ TD season , it's not Mark Sanchez deal you have to worry about....his agent will be looking for top 5 QB money.

if he plays 16 games and gets those numbers again, with his age, he'll be the highest paid QB in the league.

Cannot say that I would be happy if Detroit popped off a trade giving that much up to move up 4 spots in the draft... Washington is not one player away and they are in a tough division. That is an insane deal. The Rams on the other hand could be loaded with talent in a couple of years.

Rams deal getting better and better?!

Ryan Tannehill - QB - Player

The Rams are reportedly hoping the market for Texas QB A&M Ryan Tannehill "heats up" so they can trade down again from No. 6 overall.
It would be interesting to see the Rams flip picks with the Browns to select Justin Blackmon, but it sounds like their preference is for the Seahawks to trade up from No. 12 overall. The Dolphins at No. 8 and Chiefs at No. 11 are also in the market for a quarterback. The Rams have enough holes that trading down -- for a second time -- makes plenty of sense.
