EDIT: When I was 21, I broke up with a girlfriend. As a parting shot, she absolutely clubbed me in the jaw. I saw stars. Caught me right where the jaw joins the skull. I just shook my head and walked away. Never even entertained the notion of protecting myself or of striking back.

We already know he punched her and knocked her out and then dragged her out of the elevator. This has been common knowledge forever. But now that there's video of the punch, he's released and banned indefinitely? That makes no sense. Nothing changed from before so why now is there a different penalty?
