ok 9 days to go. I absolutely suck at drafts, but I enjoy reading most of yours, so post your full rd 1 draft, you can include trade scenarios you think will happen.

That second page is telling: Dallas, long list. Denver, short. Detroit, long list. GB, short.

Due dilligence is a good thing (remember Titus Young not visiting). And some visits help the Lions not tip their hand at 10. Bashing the Lions for bringing in alot of guys is dumb.

so you are saying they did not do their due diligence when they wasted a 2nd round pick on Titus.

No known visits doesn't prove no due dilligence. I'm sure they scouted and talked to people. Don't know who they talked too about him. You only get a certain number of visits. And even with a visit, Young could be coached to say or do the right things and take his meds that day.

But not using all your perscribed visits you get like Denver and GB appears there sounds kind of dumb. Maybe they just aren't declared to the public though or their beat writers suck in tracking it.

Didn't they coach him at the senior bowl where he showed up in an RV with his picture on the side?

Based somewhat on our track record with second round picks, but primarily on needs and availability, I'm beginning to think we should try to trade into the back end of the first round for Shazier. Palmer has done an adequate job, but Shazier looks like a stud. He has the speed to cover in the slot, and is a very sound tackler. Assuming we get Gilbert/Dennard/HaHa first, Shazier could provide noticeable improvement to the defense.

We could still find a burner WR or slot guy (depending on how we utilize Tate) in the later rounds.

the kid Janis from Saginaw Valley State could be possible

I like Shazier but I think our next OLB will be more of a pass rushing type instead of a coverage LB.

A guy I like in the late rounds is Devon Kennard from USC. He is an injury risk but the upside is there. I have always preferred taking the injury risk/high potential guys in the late rounds instead of the 2nd. Yeah I'm talking to you Mayhew.

I was impressed with Janis' 40 time. But watching him at the combine during the drills, he was very stiff. I think he would be good for the fly route only and we have Fuller from last year for a fly only guy.

What kind of a pick do you think we'd get for moving back from 10 to 15? A 4th rounder?
