Reggie on Billy Martin's racism, anti-semitism

I saw that. 535 feet is not your run of the mill HR.

Reggie was more valuable to the team than Martin and Reggie made certain that Billy knew that.
Not to mention the fact that Reggie was major, major asshole. Major.....Did I mention major?

And Billy was such a nice person in his own right. So it's no wonder they were so compatible.

I think Martin hated Reggie for reasons that had nothing to do w/race.

Billy was mad b/c the Yanks got Reggie without his permission. Every other manager in the universe would not have had their nose put out of joint by the acquisition, but Billy did.

Goose confirmed some of what Reggie has said.

I'm not sure why people act surprised that Martin wasn't a great person at all times and in all areas of life. These athletes and celebrities that society tends to hold in such high regard are just as flawed as anybody else and more often even moreso. I'm not sure why Reggie is dredging this up so long after the fact, but if it makes him feel better about the past, God bless him.
