Actually I will soon be purchasing a DVR, to go along with the 60" plasma HDTV I just bought last weekend, since I recently received a check in the amount of $$14K from my former employer the USPS, as a result of an "adjustment" of my ongoing disability pension, just haven't got around to it yet...

Thanks Ron, my surprise "windfall" will also soon be benefiting my recently unemployed neighbor, who was forced to quit his job as a sub-contractor who worked repairing and cleaning up bank-foreclosed homes. His former employer had notified him that due to a company policy change, he would soon need to quickly pay for the company truck that he was using on the job as well as the insurance and any necessary repairs. Along with also often having to fork over his own money to pay for necessary tools, equipment and materials on many job sites, and having to wait sometimes more than a month to be reimbursed. His net income over the next few months would have been very minuscule otherwise.

He would not have earned enough $$ biweekly as a result to be able to support his family and pay bills until the truck was paid off. I intend to lend him enough money to purchase a cheap used work van so that he can resume working in the home construction/repair business. Otherwise he and his wife and their young son would soon become homeless, since they really have no one else, including any family members to turn to, his wife is an ex-pat from England.
