biggest reason was the tech bubble....once that burst, everything came down in 2001, then 911 was another trillion dollar hit

Too bad I had to get in my workout in until just before tea time...

So...just so I have it right...

The modest top marginal rate tax increase...

...and controlled spending...

...those two events occurred simultaneously...and..

The budget became balanced...surpluses, in fact.

Is that what I'm hearing?
