RR in @ Zona

Good luck DickRod. I hope he finds success, but if they ever play UM in a bowl game, Obviously I want to destroy him...

Danny Diggler[/color]]He doesn't have any California connections... How many kids did he pull from out there throughout his career? He recruits the south...
i'm saying he will be able to recruit cali talent when he is at zona

Enjoy,

I hope he gets good enough for us to meet him in the rose....lol at what we would do to his teams.

Bottom line is that Rich Rodriguez is at a program more suited to his capabilities and comfort level. Read Three and Out and see how he was "sabbotaged" from the beginning but in the end, Michigan was too much for him ....Arizona is not (no offense, byco and I recall saying he'd be UofA's next HC).

But the whole 'recruiting strengths' argument is irrelevant. All he has to do is find guys that fall past USC, Oregon, Washington, Stanford & to some extent ASU (with lax/non-existent academics) and get them. He doesn't have to recruit against USC or Texas or Oklahoma, he just has to take the scraps. Add in a few of 'his guys' and you'll have exactly in Tucson what you had at WVU ....a decent football team that plays against lesser competition and can be called 'successful' by going 7-5 to 9-3 every year.

If he runs the team to their strengths and doesn't force stupid shit on them(his spread/3 3 5). I will hunt him down.

You'd have to find UofA's "strengths" as a 3-8 team under Stoops/interim. LOL!!

I doubt he'll have much success in Cali because he's never done it before and isn't familiar with HS coaches and has no pipelines there... Better hire someone that is. He does know coaches at powerhouse Chaparrel HS in Scottsdale well. He pulled Lewan and Roh from them. Arizona is a decent state in terms of talent. Better hit that state hard... He sure didn't give a **** about the state of Michigan..I hope he can recruit well there, I really do but i'm a little skeptical right now..

So the finalists were said to be: RR, Leach, Belotti & Gary Barnett

Leach had too many connections with the exiting Stoops/Oklahoma staff (they said), so who would be better?

LOL, surprised a BCS conference team would hire him after his last debacle. At least the weather is nice.

"@slmandel: Arizona has been playing football since 1899 and has two double-digit win seasons. Two. #How??"

I bet RR is there for a while. Honestly it's a good fit and I'm more than 9-2 ready to get beyond Rich ****ing Rodriguez.

And I'm not kidding, a surname like Rodriguez will play in Tucson and in Arizona. The spread-n-shred is Pac-12 friendly and so is the AD wanting to hire an 'exciting' name -- he's got all that 'scandal' and notoriety that puts UofA on the map for a little while.

I have a few clients who are UA Alum and who like to talk smack ......
