Get StartedDirks days at part time would be over imo, he should start and play left field and bat 2nd period. as far as a Boesch and Young goes, send both their asses to Toledo until they hit as we can fill their spots with just about anybody, neither is hitting and neither are good fielders so call someone up. Peralta is down a little from last year as well we all know, but replacing him at SS will be tuff. Raburn has to flat out be given away, he's a cancer on this team with his bat and his glove, and Avila seems like he just goes thru the motions in the field and at bat,he has no life in him at all, I say sit his ass as well and let G-Money have a shot at catching, at least with G-Money you know he's gonna try his best. Cabrera ain't off to a terrible start and only get better, as will Fielder. Now the bullpen is a different story, this thing is in shambles.
Holy fuck...did somebody seriously say bench Avila and start Gerald fucking Laird?
Concentrating on just Raburn is rationalizing, in my opinion. You pick a whipping boy and go with it. The fact is that most of the team is underachieving, Raburn included. And no one is stepping up to knock Raburn out of his spot, either. Ramon has around 50 PA's and Raburn around 75, so both have a small sample of terrible.
Let's face it, the problem could easily be explained with "Andy Dirks is leading the team in OPS". There is some blame for the big boys, too.
Of course you single him out. Almost all of your posts are about Raburn. We get it, he's not playing well. Neither are the guys that would replace him. And all of it somehow is the fault of the manager. Right.

What you are complaining about now is the domain of the General Manager. Make up your mind about which non player is the problem. Expecting the manager to spin gold from the choice of Raburn, Santiago and Worth is unrealistic and is hate for hate's sake.
exactly, its not like we even have anyone to replace raburn. santiago and worth are both part-time players at best and we have absolutely no-one in the minors who could come up and replace him. if anyone is to blame for this, its dombrowski for not finding a suitable 2nd base option in the offseason. What you are complaining about now is the domain of the General Manager. Worth didn't get a chance this season, none. So throwing him in this argument makes no sense.
Brent Dlugach is in Toledo again. He hasn't gotten a chance, either. Worth has shown he can't hit at the minor league level, to expect him to shine in the majors is unrealistic. Why not give Cale Iorg a shot while we are at it.
Raburn is the only one of the second base options that has proven he can hit at the major league level. It sucks that he's been terrible, but changing him out for guys that you have no expectation of success is not really a good answer to the problem.
You mean like 2012, .309 .387 .600 .987. Good numbers for Worth. Lol.
That's great, Mitch! You can use the google!
Those 62 plate appearances have raised his career minor league ops to almost .700!
It's fun to be a troll, look at Mitch go!
