SI ranks all 32 starting QB's. Stafford ranked.......

Seattle averaged 172.6 and Dallas was at 147.1.

150 is doable providing you believe all the hype about Abdullah and Bell supposedly will be ready come game 1. Heck, I would settle for 130 in reality. It's really about keeping defenses guessing which will generate more 1st downs and all the other stuff that comes with it, like scoring consistently and not for only one half of each game.

You said from Backs. Seattle got over 800 from Wilson. Stafford isn't getting 800. Seattle was closer to 115 out of RBs

Do defenses line up and see Joique Bell on the other side, and start worrying? He's just not fast enough to do enough damage. If the Lions need a few yards for a first down, yeah he's your guy. But other than that, he doesn't offer anything the common RB does. Let's not make him out to be better than he is. He's a below average running back who plays hard.

If Abdullah does not take this job and run with it (sorry about the pun), then the Lions will be near the bottom half in rushing.

Lynch faces stacked boxes all the time. His YPG is more impressive even if less.

Lions ran for 88 yards per game. Terrible. 110 yards per game range would be better. We just need an average run game not bad. If we get 130 like Houston for instance, well then I'm all for that. But I don't think the Lions will run the ball enough to get to that.

Bell is not below average. He is above average in yards after contact, elusive rating and missed tackles forced. He's a good receiver. He is a top 10 rated back actually. Like Stafford, if the Oline does their job better, Bell will look like he deserves to look stat wise. 3.9 YPC wasn't Bell's fault. Bell has good vision, moves piles and hits holes well.

https://www.profootballfocus.com/ See the right side. Top 10 back

All the time? Even Wilson's rookie year they only stacked the box 20% of the time. Loaded box is a fallacy of the NFL. It just doesn't happen anymore.

People just aren't stacking the box on 1st or 2nd down anymore. Mostly the only time is in 3rd and short situations. Get with the times.

Do you ever think on your own without referencing PFF?

Joique Bell is not a top 10, or top 15 running back in the NFL, period. He's average at best.

They stack a ton on Lynch. Seattle doesn't have the weaponry to not stack on him. Safeties are playing the run first even if back. You are crazy if you think otherwise. Less nickel packages against Seattle too.

Bell is a top 10 back. You can't prove otherwise. I proved he was.

Sure I can. I can rattle of 15 RBs I'd rather have who are statistically stronger than he is.

I know you are sitting behind your keyboard laughing at this argument because you know Bell isn't that good, but that's been your job all summer to counterbalance the realists.

Adrian Peterson
Jamal Charles
Le'Veon Bell
Eddie Lacy
Matt Forte
Arian Foster
Demarco Murray
LeSean McCoy
Jeremy Hill
Justin Forsett
Alfred Morris
Marshawn Lynch

Give me three of those guys who Joique is better than to make it into the top ten.

Note - I didn't include any of this year's rookies.

I meant team rushing total, I did say backs but not what I really meant. The point I was trying to make is we need more yds per game rushing to break this cycle

That is a stretch. He is solid but not a top ten.

I would take L. Bell, Peterson, Charles, Lacy, Lynch, Forte, C.J. Anderson, J. Hill, McCoy, and Murray over him in a minute.

Lets see where Stafford Ranks according to PFF:

Passes 1-10 Yards: Below average Ranked 22nd
Passes 11-20: Below Average Ranked 22nd
Passes 21-30: Hey above average Ranked 13th
Passes 31-40:Below Average Ranked 18th
Passes 41+: Below Average Ranked 18th

So for 5.9% of the quantity of passes (Amount of times he throws 21-30 Yards) he does it just slightly above average. Unfortunately 94.1% of his passes are below average.

PFF knows all.

PFF sucks for one thing. QBs. QB is too complex to compare to other QBs.

Bell over Hill and Anderson for sure. We'll see Murray without Dallas line.

So how can you possibly compare him to other QBs? You routinely say he is above average or even great...Isn't that a compassion? You just stated your opinion is invalid because it is an impossible task in your mind.

I say he's good or outstanding. He plays good and outstanding based on his circumstances. I'm not comparing him to anyone. His level of play is good.

It's about level of play given his set of circumstances. QB is to complex to compare to others.

Ints and comp % are team stats. And even TDs is based on circumstances. Maybe you run it more in the redzone. Maybe your Oline doesn't block and you miss some TD opps. Maybe your weapons drop 3 TDs against the Pats.

I don't care about any other QB in the league.

I'm very glad we have Stafford. he plays on a great level. And we'll have Stafford for many years. Mayhew loves him.
