Get StartedBut we should draft a QB in Round 2 or 3. I don't like our backups.
I agree, would've liked Hundley last year. Hopefully his equivalent will be available this year. Noodle arm and 0-16 Dan are just miserable options. I hate the thought of either playing a down in the regular season. If EJ Manuel gets cut, I'd rather have him than our backups, that's saying alot
Hundley hasn't looked very good. But most rookies don't.
What are you basing that on? He threw 6 passes, completing 4 including a TD in the 4th qtr of the 1st preseason game.
There is no way to make any assumptions on how he has looked yet.
Gotta be honest, I have very little respect for this list at all.
Big Ben at #5 with Rivers at #6 and Brees at #7? Russell Wilson at #12 and Elisha Manning at #11?
I understand the comments the Wilson is a limitation to the offense, but how is Big Ben not? They state the big arm has never been part of Roethlisberger's game... but Wilson who has been to two SuperBowls in three years (winning one of them and should have won the other) is "limiting" to the offense?
Brady at #1 with Rodgers at #2? Maybe at one point, but not anymore.
Sam Bradford ahead of both Nick Foles and Teddy Bridgewater? I think someone is smoking crack there. Bradford doesn't impress me much when he's healthy.. and he's never healthy. Ever.
I just don't see much reason to put any stock into this list at all.
I think you read Manning's summary not Big Ben, They stated a big arm wasn't part of Manning's game. Here is what they said about Roethlisberger:
"Has evolved from a randomized, talent-based quarterback to a fully cerebral field general. And the talent?s still there."
I thought he was great last season, I don't see any issue putting him top 5.
I would take Bridgewater over Bradford though.
Okay, I mixed them up.. I still don't see Ben as a top 5 at this stage of his career. A few years ago, yes... but this past couple of seasons, no.
And I wouldn't put him above Brees. Not sure I would put him above Rivers.
Ink, Big Ben was arguably the 2nd best QB in the NFL last season after Rodgers.
Pitt shows on offense what you can do with a great QB and smart drafting. I think Heath Miller is the only 1st rounder they have in the skill positions.
Holmes
Burress
Wallace
Emmanuel sanders
Antonio brown
Wheaton
im probably missing a couple...
now martavious Bryant and sammie coates.
If you think its a coincidence that all these guys put up huge numbers than do nothing when they get paid in a new place you are nuts. And like a poster said....none of these guys are 1st round picks. They are getting huge production from young, mid round, cheap picks....year after year after year after year. Ben is the constant....because they went through coordinator changes as well. Great drafting, great fits...and a great qb that can get them the ball. In the meanwhile our top 10 match up nightmare is lucky to catch 40 balls.
Sanders had his best year in Denver. Wallace is a deep threat and did a good job in Miaim. Not enough to warrant a big cap number though. Burress did well in New York.

Plax big years in Pittsburgh was before Big Ben. Big Ben was drafted in 2004.
Do some research before you spout off hughes.
Holmes went to the Jets. Big Ben to another good QB is one thing. Big Ben to Sanchez is another.
Wallace did what he did two years in Pittsburgh in Miami. 10 TDs last year for Wallace. He was a good player, just not worth that much money

Wallace in Pittsburgh (season averages)
59 rec on 101 targets (58%), 17.2 YPC, 8 TDs, 1011 total yards
Miami
70 rec on 129 targets (54%), 12.8 YPC, 7.5 TDs, 896 total yards
His Pittsburgh numbers include his rookie season. He was better with Ben.
