Meh, were rivals what do you expect. Im sure plenty of players and fans would have been rubbing it in MSU's face if they would have lost. None of my UM friends root for MSU for any sport at any time and they do a FINE job of letting me know when they beat us at something.

BTW, one of them told me today UM was going to be pre-season #2 next year behind LSU. I LOL.

It's just that I don't think the Michigan Alumni base is as fragile or threatened by the success of Sparty -- we encourage it. It makes the BigTen and state of Michigan look better.

No matter who started it, I doubt any Spartan would be doing it if they didn't see Wolverines doing it 1st. Why else would they make a statement that they are hungry right now? When's the last time they've been this well fed? Michigan was starving for something they were used to, and hadn't been getting for the last few years. MSU? Makes no sense.

I really think that sparty's problems lie in the fact that they believe they should have earned our respect and we should fear them because they have won 4 in a row. But because we dont and we all know Hoke has us on the right track and its just a matter of time till we have our own streak they get frustrated.
