Spring Training Games

Tigers have optioned RHP Angel De Jesus to Triple A and RHP Elvin Rodriguez to Double-A Erie. RHP Nivaldo Rodriguez reassigned to minor-league camp.

RHP Alex Faedo was optioned to Class A Lakeland, so looks like he?ll begin the season with a couple of warm-weather outings.

RHP Nivaldo Rodriguez has been reassigned to Minor League camp.

The Tigers have 53 players remaining in Major League camp.

The Tigers finally have what is expected to be their starting rotation: Matt Manning, Casey Mize, Eduardo Rodriguez, Michael Pineda and Tarik Skubal. Tyler Alexander is expected to hold down a slot until Pineda has a chance to get ready.

The team signed Eduardo Rodriguez just before the CBA lockdown to a 5-year $77 mill contract. He will be 33 years old at the end of his contract.

Analysts say that his numbers really are much better than indicated as one of MLB?s worst defenses (Boston) was behind him last year and inflated his stats.

Casey Mize will be 25 in a couple months and entering his third season (1 full year, 1 partial year) with the Tigers.

Easy delivery, quick pace, looks about ready for Opening Day.

Michael Fulmer topped out at 94 mph, though he was 91 for the most part. First outing and he looked out of sync. Nothing to worry about this time of the year.

Tigers announce Joey Wentz has been optioned to Erie (MiLB camp). Tigers have 52 players left in Major League camp.
