Stafford involved in Caldwell interview

I wouldnt be mad at a Caldwell hiring. Why not? He's been around winning teams and some special players. Baltimore's offense is a joke, cant really fault him.

Everybody is crying for Whisenhunt. His record as a HC isnt all that great either. Yeah, he took a Cardinals team to the SB but overall im not that impressed. And people like to say he's "rejuvenated" Rivers career. Really? Nobody noticed until this year and he's been in San Diego for a few years now. Oh and Frank Reich is the QB coach in San Diego btw ....

I just read an article crediting Reich for much of Rivers success.

This was his first season with the chargers btw. hired Jan 17 2013.

Rivers was on TV last night talking about how much Reich has helped. if we get whis, maybe Reich comes with him and they can fix stupid.

I hope so, but if Whiz leaves Reich could waltz in as the OC there. So it would be up to him... OC in San Diego or OC in Detroit. Hmmm

Caldwell watched every throw so he could have an informed opinion. Continue with your generic hate of stafford.

So glad stafford is going nowhere

It's been mentioned in other threads how after Warner retired, the QBs Whisenhunt had to work with were crap. Leinart, Derek Anderson, John Skelton, Max Hall, Ryan Lindley, etc...Also, like someone already said, this was Whisenhunt's 1st year in San Diego. Lastly, Frank Reich was Whisenhunt's WR coach in Arizona for a year, so he probably followed Whisenhunt to San Diego, meaning he could also come to the Lions if Whisenhunt is hired.

All depends on reich contract and if he is getting a promotion. If same positional coach chargers would have to approve

What about Caldwell's qbs in Indy...Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky? Why isn't that season on hi? Better record and a Super Bowl loss.

Oh shit ..... brainfart.

Rivers is a much better qb this year, and making a lot less mistakes. Just shows Whisenhunts time there has helped Rivers out a ton. Hoping for a few Rivers brainfarts here though, so maybe the Lions can hire him this week.

Rivers has been outstanding this year, i agree. Frank Reich should get more credit though

You know everyone giving whisenhunt credit. How about their head coach. Former qb coach and offensive coordinator mike McCoy. It's not like norv turner sucked either. He has developed some qbs in his career. Rivers has talent but a weird release too

I like Whisenhunts calls in the second half. Made adjustments and mixed it up well. Even the muddle huddle I always thought we should run. I'm warming up to the Wiz after that game.

Whisenthunt also helped Matthews cut down on fumbles and hit the first hole. Could help Reggie out too...

Please god not Caldwell. His O couldn't even get a TD against Gunthers' crap defense.

From the sounds of it, it looks like the Wiz is on the verge of curing cancer too

Look at that turf. What a joke. This is a professional stadium?
