Suh cleared by police after threatening cable guy..

Nah, someone probably got it at the sporting good counter and then decided they didn't want to buy it and shoved it in a cooler. I found one in a cooler once at Walmart and just handed it over.

Walmart isn't supposed to let you take a firearm to the front, but the employees do it all the time here.

thats still crazy. if someone found a gun in a Walmart in Canada, the whole area would be on shutdown and you couldnt get near the fn place

As a cable installer, I am in people's back yards constantly. If the yard is fenced, I try to contact the owner. If someone feels threatened by a guy with a large ladder over his shoulder and orange vest then they are too dumb to own a gun.

Yep, but in Southeastern Arizona, it's a non-factor bro.

You have to remember, I'm living in a state that has made it legal for 12 year olds to own rifles. Carrying a concealed weapon is decriminilized. If you order someone off your property and they do not move within 3 seconds, you can legally kill them, inside your house or not, in danger or not.

Hell man, the state penalty for horse thievery is actually still hanging by the neck until dead... though I really doubt that is ever enforced anymore. Point is, it's still on the books as a viable option.

The story says the guy was concealed by trees and Suh wasn't able to see who it was. He grabbed an air gun, apparently a pellet rifle to be exact, and went outside. The video shows he never pointed it at the guy, and he never made a threatening gesture of any kind, just talked to the guy for a couple of minutes and went back inside.

I'm sure the conversation went something like this....

"Man, you scared the hell out of me. I had no idea who was out here. You should really notify the home owner before someone shoots you."

"Isn't that a pellet gun sir?"

"Shut up!"

"That was rude. I bet I can tell the cops he pointed that at me, and then I can sue his rich football playing ass for millions...."

If you're up in Verrado, you're pretty well immune to the immigration problems.

About three years ago, the Mayor of Phoenix came down to Sierra Vista and met with some of our publishers, because he couldn't understand why the border "wasn't secure"... he never sees illegals up his way four hours north of us.

I took him just south of my area, to the base of the mountains, and told him to count the illegals coming over the border.

He gave up after about an hour and a half when he got to 400 and something. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Border patrol here does a decent job, but they are 20 miles back of the border. By the time the sensors pick them up, the drug mules are already here and may have killed someone.

And bear in mind, I am a die hard liberal. I support gay rights, immigration bills, welfare for folks who need it... this isn't your normal Arizona uber-conservative that wants to seal the border and kill every brown man that looks over the fence.

But I also know that my family is in danger a lot here. Five years ago I fired a shot at an armed illegal in my garage who pulled a knife on me when I discovered him. I happen to have been cleaning my pistol and putting it in the safe when I found him hiding behind a mattress in my garage and the shot went through the mattress and didn't hit him. He gave up fast, but it was still fire a shot or maybe be knifed to death in my own home.

Ink, that's nuts.

I don't want to give the wrong impression, like this is a daily or even weekly occurrence down here, so don't get me wrong.

In my years in Arizona, I have had illegals wander onto my property about four times. Only once was there ever a problem. Twice they ran for it as fast as they could when I opened the door, because they never really know if some crazy ass rancher is going to take some shots at them. Once they asked me for some water, and I gave it to them, and then called up the border patrol.

But illegals breaking into houses and robbing the place, or (very commonly) breaking into sheds and stealing whatever tools they can find are daily occurrences here.

Again, I don't want to make it sound like the Wild West here, it's not exactly Michigan civlized either.
