RT @MikeOHaraNFL: Ndamukong Suh has restructured his contract with Lions, agent Rosey Barnes confirms. Still has two years left.

Ndamukong Suh was already scheduled for a $17.5M cap number in 2014. Restructure now means Lions will have to extend his deal after '13.

Right now you worry about this year. You worry about next year then.

What do these guys care, they have already been told they need to win this year so fuck the future let someone else clean up the mess.

Is that Mayhew on himself or did Ford say that? That would be out of character for "Big Daddy" Ford.

Yeah basically just means he will be getting an extension a year early.

BINGO!!!

Make or break year for Mayhew AND Schwartz.

Playoffs or bust....that's my guess.

Major injury to CJ or Stafford is the only reason either of them gets a pass. And that would only come if the Lions were very competitve without them. Like an 8-8 record but missing CJ for 10 games or something like that.

They need to get Stafford signed for an extension. He is coming off a decent year and a great year the one before and will command insane money in a contract year if he plays like he should. Also we really need money right now.

Agent Rosey Barnes on Suh extending contract: "He's open to it. He wants to be there when they win the Super Bowl."”

I don't htink a GM can get a pass for missing the playoffs because a WR missed time..that just shows what an inefficient team he's built and should further the case for his firing imo.

Losing CJ would be the equivalent of the Tigers losing Cabrera......

Team just wouldn't be as good. How would that be on Mayhew?

Im thinking losing CJ would be more equivalent to losing Verlander..

Losing Stafford would be like losing Cabrera (and prince pretty much).

And far as who would replace Staff, add in AJ, Vmart, Hunter, Fister and Max.
